My brother in law had one with 264 K on it, sold it and it still ran great. Explorers are great vehicles..... I had a 98, loved it so much I sold it and bought a brand new one. 144K is nothing on an Explorer.

Exactly. If you have taken care of it and continue to do regular maintenance it will last longer I would think. You can probably expect some work to need to be done, though. We have a '98 Expedition and my husband just put about $100 ion it but I don't' remember what for. He was able to fix it himself, though. We don't have nearlya s many miles on it, though and my husband doens't drive the crap put of our vehicles either. Good luck.

Keep up the maintenance on it and you should get at least another 100K out of it. With that many miles on it, you can expect more things to start going wrong as they wear out though.

Good question , It depends on the maintenance you have performed on it , don't wait to long , If you have a manual get it out and get busy a tune-up is not what it use to be hope this helps.

take care of it and 200k is nothing for them things... with the recall for the cruise control, I get to see many of them, and some are at 230k + out there still going strong.

With regular maintenance, it should go well over 200K with no problem.
