Hey,
I am a junior in college. what is the best way to approach a girl as she is waiting for next class or outside smoking a cigarette. I have tried smiling from a ways but that doesnt work. How would you like a man to approach you if you were 18-23 in college.

Also if i was standing 20-30 feet away from you i would not usually walk up to a girl what body language can i show her to show im interested and maybe get some feedback like a smile or a wave or whatever.

make a compliment or a nice joke but be polite :) just open the conversation which requires the girl respons so you communicate and you can see if she likes you

If I was single and were to be in college I'd probably want the guy to approach me by a conversation related to the class. A good example would be, "So Karen, were you able to understand the chapter we were assigned to read?" If she nods then ask her the part you didn't quite understand hoping she'll explain it to you where you would understand. Also, once the girl you like and her start to get acquainted a little better ask her what she likes to do in her free time or ask her out for lunch or cup of coffee at Starbucks maybe. Also, smiling and laughing a lot (when its funny) makes it easier on the girl to be more relaxed and calm.

Make sure your body says you are open. Stand with your body towards her, uncross your arms, catch her eye and smile, maybe give her a head jerk as if to say 'hi'. Try that a few times then maybe if you pass her, drop something simple, like a comment about her apparel, the weather, the class she's in. This way she will know you exist and if you're witty, she'll remember you. Then move on to longer conversations, stop by and say hello so she becomes used to you being in her atmosphere/bubble. Once you've established that you can move forward as naturally as you feel.

My best advice is to simply walk right up and say hello. The line that always got me talking to a guy was simple, "hi, you look nice, what's your name?" If she's reading something, you can start a conversation about that. Maybe you both take one of the same classes, ask her what she thinks of the prof. If you smoke, you could always stir up conversation by asking to bum a smoke or a light. The thing that has always impressed me about men, is when they can just walk right up, say hello, ask my name, and not be cheesy about it. The worst that can happen is that she ignores you. If that's the case, tell her to have a nice day and keep moving. Best of luck.

sumtimes you gotta be a lil patient so find the grl that youre relly determined to get their attention and find out where they hang out. then if theyre sitting on the bench outside or sumthing you could sit in the grass like layon youre elbow and act like you are reading a book kinda keep an eye on her then if she kind of notices you maybe knod your head or sumthin like saying hi or whatever it iss the you guys think you are saying, just kind of let her know that you aknowledged her.
hang out in the grass alot after about the third time you see her there then you have a reason to talk to her.

Why not go to her and ask her if she'd like to hang out sometime. Let her know that you are interested in doing just that. Give her your number and tell her to call you and let you know. Then you can smile and go to your next class, having left it up to her, with no pressure.

Just walk up and start talking to her.. make up some lame excuse lol anything will work.
Could be something like "oh sorry thought you were in one of my classes" or "what's your name i see u around all the time" like i said could be anything! just smile and act confident while you say it though..

if you are interested walk up to her say hi and your name and start talking that is best way to start a conversation and then go from there. if she likes you even a little bit its a start.
