Awwwww, but I must say I *think* you are wrong in the repect of there being no light left here....... there will be a few, set apart by God who well stay to spread more light..... *I* think the 144,000 refer to those people..... they will go around the left behind population, nations, speaking and bringing the word, and some will be saved......and please do not forget the two witnesess !!!!! just my humble thoughts and opinion....... go in peace........ God bless

The primary Scripture passage on the Rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. It states that all living believers, along with all believers who have died, will meet the Lord Jesus in the air and will be with Him forever. The Rapture is God removing His people from the earth. A few verses later in 5:9 Paul says, “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Book of Revelation, which deals primarily with the time period of the Tribulation, is a prophetic message of how God will pour out His wrath upon the earth during the Tribulation. It would seem inconsistent for God to promise believers that they will not suffer wrath and then leave them on the earth during the Tribulation. The fact that God promises to deliver Christians from wrath shortly after promising to remove His people from the earth seems to link those two events together.
Many people have a misconception of what Heaven is truly like. Revelation chapters 21-22 give us a detailed picture of the New Heavens and the New Earth. After the end times, the current Heavens and Earth will be done away with and replaced by the New Heavens and New Earth. The eternal dwelling place of believers will be the New Earth. The New Earth is the “Heaven” on which we will spend eternity. It is the New Earth on which the New Jerusalem, the heavenly city, will reside. It is on the New Earth were the pearly gates and streets of gold will be.
Heaven – the New Earth – is a physical place on which we will dwell with glorified physical bodies (see 1 Corinthians 15:35-58). The concept that Heaven is “in the clouds” is unbiblical. The concept that we will be “spirits floating around in Heaven” is unbiblical. The Heaven that believers will experience will be a new and perfect planet on which we will dwell. The New Earth will be free from sin, evil, sickness, suffering, and death. It will likely be very similar to our current Earth, or perhaps even a re-creation of our current earth – but without the curse of sin.
What about the New Heavens? It is important to remember that in the ancient mind, "heavens" referred to the skies and outer space, as well as the realm in which God dwells. So, when Revelation 21:1 refers to the New Heavens, it is likely indicating that the entire universe will be created, a New Earth, new skies, a new outer space. It seems as if God's "Heaven" will be recreated as well, to give everything in the universe a "fresh start" whether physical or spiritual. Will we have access to the New Heavens in eternity? Possibly...but we will have to wait to find out! May we all allow God’s Word to shape our understanding of Heaven!

According to Christianity, elaine30705, everyone that is left will NOT go to Hell. And there will not be only darkness left. The Bible talks about a period of time when the anti-christ will be ruling on earth, and most people will follow him blindly. But there is still hope for those 'left behind'. For those who come to realize that the anti-christ is a false prophet and believe that Jesus is the Son of God there is a second chance. After the anti-christ reins Jesus is going to return and rule the earth for 1,000 years. At the time of his return many will then be sent to Hell (those who did not believe), but those who did will be united with Jesus and will live with him on the new earth.
I hope that makes sense. It is also all written out in the book of Revelations!

When all who are saved and washed in jesus's blood are raptured...those who are left here on earth will be in the tribulation ..which is a period of seven years during this time the anti-christ will reign and claim to be the messiah...but he works for satan and through the anti-christ the beast works. for 3 and 1/2 years there will be peace and all will seem fine but the in the next 3 and 1/2 years all hell will break loose.
Some people will know what has happened when the christians are called home ....and during the tribulation u can be saved and satan is going to hunt down and try to kill all who turn to god during this time. But god will make the land protect those who serve him during this time.
After the seven year period god will come down on clouds of glory and he will begin the final battle. He will cast satan into the lake of fire and all who haven't accepted salvation will also go there after the day of judgement . If ur name is not written in the lambs book of life then u will not make it into heaven . All u have to do to make it to heaven is to ask jesus to forgive u of ur sins and ask him to come into ur heart. But when u do that u also have to believe that u are saved. If you ask and believe then u shall be saved.
john 3:16
romans 10:9
all who recieve jesus will reign with him forever those who don't will suffer for their sins.

Actually the idea of the "rapture" is wrong.
My bible says the meek will inherit the earth.
In other scriptures it says the ones sinning will be destroyed.
God will NOT leave the earth in the hands of Satan's people.
Check out revelation. He will pitch his tent with mankind.

Well, if it weren't a fairy tale, there would be a lot of empty buildings that can actually do some good, like house the homeless, instead of being an homage to a preacher's ego.

I wouldn't mind having the opportunity to find out. I think things might go very much smoother for the rest of us than you think.
