Yesterday I got a ticket for a HOV lane violation. I was wondering if it was worth trying to dispute. This cop pulled me over, according to my clock, just before the peak hours started. It was 7 am by the time he pulled me over and came to my car. I was just passing a car and had my turn signal on to get over but couldn't get over because another car got over first. I mean, I know I'm not supposed to be in that lane, but like I said the peak hours had just started as he pulled me over.

Think I have any chance?

Do I think you have a chance....maybe....maybe not.

What does appear to me is you've already worked on your story to tell the judge with "according to your clock"...."another vehicle beat me to the lane"...."I used my turn signal"....but judges will listen to both you and the officer.

I'd say the officer's side may bring more to the story as well!

Best wishes.

Tjhe best you can do is explain it to the judge and hope that he's in a good mood. Even then, you broke the law.

Not a prayer. I'm pretty sure he has you on vdeo too and that will always have a date and time stamp on it.

Just pay it and remember to keep an eye on your watch.

Heres the thing you can fight it, but if you decide to hire someone to represent you. It may end up costing you more than the ticket. you can represent yourself, and hope the officer doesn't show up.
