I did this about a month ago making jalapeno poppers so I completely sympathize. I tried nearly all the home remedies I could find searching online but nothing offered a permanent solution. It lasted about 18 hours for me. Some things that will temporarily help are:

1. Soaking your hands in cold milk.
2. Putting a baking soda and vinegar paste on your hands.
3. Holding ice packs or ice cubes.
4. Cleaning your hands with rubbing alcohol.
5. Slathering on cold aloe vera gel.

LOL - I did the same thing and asked this question awhile ago. What I found to be useful was a mix of: soak fingers in milk, wash with baking soda/water paste, and use diluted bleach to make the pain go away.

Butter, should help. Also go to the store and get something for the burning. I have used butter lots of times after burning myself. There is also something called UNKERS. It really works for burns to.
