Of all the sects of Christianity, NONE are the religion that Jesus practiced. (He was Jewish.) Christianity as we know it today was developed later, after He died.
So, when you ask which one is "best," consider the fact that He didn't choose any of them.

It depends on how you define "Christianity". Some sects might not be considered Christian (even if they consider themselves such) because they don't use the Bible or believe that it is authoritative. Technically, a church is "Christian" if it believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God come in the flesh, and that He died to pay the penalty for the sins of humanity, and then was resurrected. If we are to use that definition, then these sects would be considered "Christian":
Methodists
Presbyterians
Lutherans
Catholics
Baptists
7th-Day Adventists
Episcopalians
Pentecostals
Church of Christ
Assembly of God
Christian Science (marginal)
These, because they do not fit the above definition, are technically not "Christian":
Unitarian/Universalists
Jehovah's Witnesses
Mormons
Scientologists
Asking which is the best one is a little relative, but I would define the "best" church as the one whose doctrine most closely follows Scripture. I have been to several churches, and there is only one church I've found whose doctrine follows Scripture very closely, and that is the 7th-Day Adventists.

I'm not sure what you mean by sects! Christianity is Christianity. The beleif in The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Although there are several different denominations most have the same basic beleifs. Different denominations worship and perform different ceremonial practices. Each unique and all very beautiful and holy.
Jesus was born a Jew. Yet HE was the teacher of Christianity. For HE IS the Son of God, the Mesiah, Lord of Lords, sent to teach and to save and togive His life for others. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that whoso ever beleivith in Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life. ....For there is no way to the Father lest you go through His Son.....This is the beginning of CHristianity........

1. There are more sects of Christianity than anyone will ever be able to count. Some people say there are over one million.
Within each "sect" are "subsects" and within each "subsect" is even more "subsects".
2. Which is the best ? It depends on whom you ask.... each individual that you might ask will have a different answer.
Remember: You will be the one and only person who will answer to God for what you believe. "For each one of us shall give an account to God" Romans 14:12

All the "sects","denominations", have no bearing on any ones Salvation... only those of The Church will enter Heaven... God will not take any note of what "sect" one belonged to on this earth... unless you are of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head you will not be admitted into Heaven.

I read recently that there are 256 different denominations. None are good. We must conform to Scripture, or be found lacking in the judgement. That means that we must become Natzarim. "Christians" worship on the day of the Sun, they eat various unclean foods, and do many other things they have been told not to do.
