The a/c compresssor runs continously since the compressor was replaced. It used to cycle on and off. Can you tell me if it supposed to cycle on and off. I have a 2003 lincoln town car.
Thanks

It depends on the weather and if it was charged right , If it runs all the time that's not good It needs to rest some , Maybe the switch that turns it on and off maybe stuck, (cycling)
switch check it out, hope this helps.

Some compressors do run all the time its a design some do and some don't but if yours use to cycle then it should cycle now. I believe now say last 10 years or so all ford type compressors cycle on and off so during the repair they screwed something up I don't know what makes them cycle on and off but if it use to it should now.

If the temperature where you are is hotter than normal, the system may not cycle. If the system is just a little low on charge, it will not cycle.
Take it back where you had the work done and have them check it out.
