I was eating lunch today and started thinking about it. Each culture has it's downfalls with nutrition. But which culture is healthiest, by it's own culture.

Yes, a little red wine is good for the heart, but perhaps those in Italy are in good health because they eat a lot of tomatos? Tomatos are rich in lycopene. Very good antioxidant.

I think I would agree that Italians and Mediterraneans have the best diets. Mainly I agree with this because they are very much about eating things fresh, as in many Italians are farmers or live near farms or markets.
Also Brazilians have good diets that include tons of fresh produce and fruits, plus are very exercise/body image-conscious.

I would say China. Because they eat very little meat,and eat loads of veggies,they all seem petite and they don't eat like pigs. Now that may be for the people in China, when they get here,they eat like Americans and gain wt.,eat fast foods,and lots of meat.I think Italy also has heart healthy people,and I was told its because they drink a lot of red wine, in America when we drink a lot of wine we end up with heart attacks.

I think Amish are the healthiest and not only because of eating habits but because of the simplicity of life.

Asians: Chinese, Japanese, etc. They eat healthy and have the best holistic remedies. Plus they never seem to age.
