Joe_Citizen_66: I have not posted this, or anything like it, here or anywhere else before. Someone just pointed it out to me TODAY.

Hmmm...this was an experiment--apparently it should have been conducted in 'Celebrities' or 'Polls & Surveys'

I'm one who happens to respect the beliefs of all...whether or not I agree with them.

Judging by the majority of answers, no one else was raised to respect anyone or anything...

There may be just two answers here that are even remotely polite. I have certainly proved my point about this category.

Hello,

Not really because there are so many other God fearing people who worked so hard for God yet died very unpleasant deaths as well. For example that old nun who worked all her life for the sick and poor in Sudan, shot down like a dog after the Pope's university speech last year through to the 3 young Indonesian Christian school girls who had their heads hacked off by Islamic extremists 18 months back as well as countless others of all Christian faiths martyred over the centuries, dying with God's name on their lips.

Cheers,

HAH! Yeah, right. People who think God owns the world or something and that they should adhere to God are sick and perverted even if they think it's not. You just named a few people who coincidentally insulted God and got killed. Well guess what, there are many other people in the world who mock God and are not dead right now. One of those people is me and I know I'm not going to be killed unless I choose to because God does not own us. God doesn't even exist. It's just a made-up entity that people who are so dumb that they think they were created by someone special. Think of all the good people that died like Martin Luther King Jr., John Kennedy, and loads of other people that we believe to be good. Come on, it's just a coincidence that people die when they insult "God."

I think a God as petty as this one you have envisioned would be totally unworthy of a shred of respect. Your idea is that God let people like Hitler and Stalin murder thousands of innocent people but took the time to expunge some relatively decent humans because they disagreed with it and said some mildly controversial things? Wow, thats all I can say, sick stuff. I could never worship a God such as this.

Not everyone who mocks God will end up dying a terrible death. Some may have an easy death; but, unless they accept Jesus at some point before death, the terrible part is waiting for them. And, it will last forever.

I am terribly ashamed to say that in one part of my life, I made mocking statements. Thank God He forgave me and saved my soul. Still, it is hard to forgive myself. I can't believe that I have said and done some of the things I did in my past. But, I am trusting God's word. He will forgive those who come to Him sincerely sorry and asking forgiveness, and who believe on His Son Jesus.

God loved me even when I was unlovable. Praise His holy name!!

Yeah...that's been posted before. Everyone dies you know. I could post similar things like say the Flying Spaghetti Monster killed Pope John Paul for mocking him. It doesn't make it true.

I have been mocking your god for more than 30 years and I am still here.

Seems to me that the continued good fortune of the mockers of your sky faerie around here rather proves the counterpoint to your mass of disjointed events.

Get a clue.

Remain happy in your daze...

Why should we be polite to an obvious spammer? You claim that you haven't posted this tract before. Perhaps. However, it is all over the web (e.g. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Cazuza+%28Bi-sexual+Brazilian+composer%2C+singer+and+poet%29%3A+&btnG=Google+Search , specifically, http://powerhouse-ministry.org/default.aspx ) , verbatim. Sorry (NOT!) to have hurt your poor widdle feewings, but you should realise that R&S isn't just "Religion & Spirituality", but, also, "Rock 'em & Sock 'em".

Now, go spam the P & S folks.

I don't know about mocking God but you haven't done Him any favours here. Do you know how powerful God is? Do you believe He is capable of being hurt or mocked? You need to rethink your ideas of God. He's bigger than you think.

You realize that many of these deaths are either of little consequence to their statements (and rather the result of a poor lifestyle), or that they were murdered, either for other reasons or for their statement itself. Now, that brings my question: Should we not mock God for fear of getting murdered by violent believers?

And Jesus said that he had powers greater than Caesar. The Romans strung him up when he was in his thirties. Tiberious outlived him. Back to square one .

You can't seriously think that God caused the deaths of the people who mocked him?? I mock God the entire time, when i die you could say it was because i mocked God last week. Poeple die! people mock god! don't make a connection when there obviously isn't one.
