"The secret" is been around for more than 2000 years, is not new. Positive thinking is just a fancy word for Faith.
Have faith in God, give your heart and yourself to Him and you will never be wrong.

Hun, Rhonda Brynes didn't discover "The Secret". She took part in creating the movie and book titled "The Secret" based on Esther Hicks work and teachings on the "Laws of Attraction". "The Secret" is merely a stepping stone to understanding the Laws of Attraction. It seems that some people think that "The Secret" portrays the LOA as a "Wishful or Positive thinking" practice and sadly misses the mark completely for many people. The reason is that Rhonda and her team "borrowed" information from previous texts to make money. Namely, the work of Esther Hicks and Abraham. Nothing wrong with making money, they did what worked for them, but the "Extended Version" of the movie is actually incomplete (which is the most often viewed version) and the book is not complete either as it's not the original. This is: http://www.abraham-hicks.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AP&Product_Code=LOA

There's nothing wrong with "The Secret" in general, aside from the fact that it's "holes" lose people that would otherwise understand it and be able to harness it. That is unfortunate. But for those that do start to understand the Laws of Attraction, it is a positive thing. Just don't stop there. The Secret was a collaborative effort and the producers of it in no way "found" the Laws of Attraction, nor did they "coin" the concept. They did, however, find a way to bring it to the masses!

Not doing anything and hoping everything works out all right? Not that powerful, considering how many poor people hope and wish every day to be lifted out of poverty. Rhonda Brynes' idea spits in the face of every poor child who dies of hunger in a third world country, hoping and wishing for a better life or just some basic nutrition.

She talks about the law of attraction. And, apparantley I am just as stupid as you, because, hey, I liked that book. I think that some things should of been worded different, maybe more in detail on the religion aspect of it; however, I really enjoyed it and I am a believer that your mind is your biggest tool. I am a realist. I do know that just because I think something does not mean it will happen; however, I do think that if I think negatively all the time, then negative things will happen. Call me stupid. Call me what you want. I don't care.

Nietzsche once said something like: "Countlessly more depends on what a thing is called, than what is actually there."

In other words, change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change! Reality is more about how something is perceived rather than what is actually out there.

I have never read the secret, and probably never will, but thats my guess.

"The Secret" merely demonstrates the Biblical teaching that false teachers and false prophets will abound in the end times.

"The Secret" is a New Age spin on the old Christian "name it and claim it" false teaching. If you are a Christian, you should stay away from this entire thing.
