No tricks. You actually should be eating 5-6 small meals a day instead of just 3 - that way your body get energy when it needs it, doesnt want to store anything in fat reserves because of steady "fueling" and your blood sugar is more stable.

I suppose there is something to the small spread out meals, as I'm almost constantly wanting to eat. However, how much and what are you eating? White bread and processed foods go through the system quicker than whole grains and whole foods. However, being pregnant and eating a steady diet of whole, real, foods, I still get hungry often. I don't think it's a matter of tricking yourself, but actually doing it.

eat 6 small meals a day (every 2-3hours) rather than 3 squares. this will help keep your blood sugar stable so you won't feel hungry all the time. keep the meals between 200-300 calories. water will help make you feel full temporarily but won't really help when you are spacing your meals so far out. also, when you get snack attacks eat foods that are basically zero net calories such as crunchy veggies, berries and grapefruit and eggwhites. these can be considered virtually zero net calorie foods because it takes the body most of the calories contained in the food to digest them.

Actually, what i do is chop fruits into cubes and put them in half a gallon of water. You drink it as you do with soup. You actually eat the fruits & veges, but you have the illusion that you are eating alot because the WATER fills you up while the fruits and veges give illusion that you are eating. Clever, huh

I KNOW IT SOUNDS STUPID WHEN YOU DISCRIBE IT, but when you actually try it, it is like reaching paradise, cuz you can be full on only like 1 apple and 10 grapes or something.

have five 'smaller' and 'healthier' meals a day instead. in that way your body will be happy coz its constantly getting bursts of energy input...no matter how small it is. you can trick your system this way and the system will definately increase ure metabolism...now u can eat the same amount as u now do eating three meals...just break them into five...u eat just as usual but burn more.

I used to have the same problem... I started taking smaller bites while eating and try really hard to focus on the textures, smells and tastes. It helped so much I am hardly hungry by the time I have to eat again.. It has cured me, hopefully you will have the same luck!! =)

Reduce your sugar/carb intake. Sugar causes you to become "more" hungry... it gives you a constantly "hungry" feeling... even though you really aren't...

Try to switch from sugar to splenda... and white foods like bread and pasta to whole wheat breads and pastas.
