John 20 26-29
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Hebrews 1: 4-9
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Jehovah's Witnesses certainly do NOT deny that Christ Jesus is a deity (that is, Jesus is "a god" but Jesus is not Almighty Jehovah God the Father). It seems remarkable to nontrinitarians when trinitarians focus on John 20:28 or Hebrews chapter 1. The fact that they occasionally do so is powerful proof that there is a serious shortage of support for their ideas.
At John 20:28, perhaps Thomas was using a colloquialism (has the questioner never heard a person exclaim "oh my god!"?). But perhaps Thomas was addressing Jesus, who appeared there before him; what of it? The bible (and Jehovah's Witnesses) freely acknowledges that Jesus was and is "a god".
(John 1:17-18) The truth came to be through Jesus Christ. No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is in the bosom position with the Father is the one that has explained him.
By contrast with John 20:28, the passage around Hebrews 1:5 and 1:13 is absolutely the OPPOSITE of trinity proof text! In fact, these verses (along with the verses from which Paul there quotes) demonstrate conclusively that Jesus *IS* (and was) an angel and distinct from Jehovah. Those verses ask three questions which are actually specific references to earlier Scriptures about Jesus, and each and every one of those Hebrew Scriptures juxtaposes Jesus as separate and distinct from the person of "Jehovah" (note that each referenced "OT" Scripture actually uses the Tetragrammaton). Thus, when each question frames itself as asking about “which angel” ("to which angel...?") then a well-read bible student in Paul's day or our own day would immediately recognize the quoted verses which supply each answer as pointing to Jesus (A: "the angel is Jesus!"), and reminding that Jesus is a distinct person from Jehovah.
There is no reason to argue that the apostle Paul was asking trick questions. Here is each of Paul’s rhetorical questions, along with the earlier Scriptural references from which Paul quotes...
From Hebrews 1:5, the question posed:
Q: [quote]To which one of the angels did [God] ever say: "You are my son; I, today, I have become your father"?[unquote]
The obvious answer:
To which angel? To the angel Jesus, the Christ, as Psalm 2 shows!
(Psalm 2:2-12) High officials themselves have massed together as one Against Jehovah and against his anointed one [footnote; "Christ"]... Let me refer to the decree of Jehovah; He has said to me: "You are my son; I, today, I have become your father..."
From Hebrews 1:5, the question posed:
Q: [quote]To which of one of the angels did [God] ever say: ..."I myself shall become his father, and he himself will become my son"?[unquote]
The obvious answer:
To which angel? To the angel Jesus, God's chosen King, as 2 Samuel 7 shows!
(2 Samuel 7:11-14) Jehovah has told you ... I myself shall become his father, and he himself will become my son
From Hebrews 1:13, the question posed:
Q: [quote]To which one of the angels has [God] ever said: “Sit at my right hand, until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet”?[unquote]
The obvious answer:
To which angel? To the angel Jesus, who waited patiently for God's purposes to unfold, as Psalm 110 shows!
(Psalm 110:1) The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”
Remarkably, the only way this passage from Hebrews could possibly reconcile with trinitarianism is if one believes Paul was asking trick questions to confuse his readers.

As Christians, Jehovah's Witnesses do believe what the bible says. John 1:1 and Isa 9:6 clear stated Jesus is a deity.
However, John 1:1 says "the word" is with God, thus he is not the same Diety as his father.
Isa 9:6 says "he will be called" Mighty God. Jesus had to wait until his earthy mission was complete before receiving the title of Mighty God where his father at Ex 6:3 told Moses he was already known as Almighty God before anyone even know Jehovah's name. Thus another example they are not the same deity.

Simple, according to the bible in John 3:16 God almighty sent his son, not came himself if Jesus is a son of God the he must be an angel cause all angels are sons of God according to Job 1:6 and 2:1 also all the sons of God almighty are gods or divines according to Psalms 82:1-6 and Jesus is the firstson of God according to Colossians 1:15-17 so he must be the first angel or Chief angel of God almighty that is why the bible describe him as a powerful angel in Revelation 10:1 and also says that his voice is the voice of Archangel according to 1 thessal. 4:16.

Jesus never said that he was God.
Jesus did say though that he was God's Son.
Jesus said the Father is greater than I am.
John wrote at John 1:18 No man has seen God at anytime.
John saw Jesus right? If Jesus was God why would he say this?
Isa 9:6-7 Jesus is called a Mighty God. Why not Almighty God?

If you read the bible and believe that the words actually attributed to Jesus are correctly documented, then you know that Jesus referred to himself as the Son of Man...and that he was the son of God as we all are (actually, contrary to what we have been lead to believe, Jesus still was talking about the select few, not the Gentiles). Even when the Pharisees asked him "Are you the son of God?" he replied..."YOU say I am".
Maybe they have their reasons...you might as well ask why Mormons believe in John Smith, why people believe in Buddah, etc. I think that it's not that easy to ask why someone does or does not believe in something you believe in when there is little imperical data to look at...it's Faith, man...who can explain it?

I'm going to not include scriptural quotations in my response today. I am going to ask you to actually read the gospels... Matthew, Mark, Luke and John ... When you're done ask yourself whether it can really be said that God the Father (Jehovah) and the Son (Jesus) are one and the same. If they are, all the gospels prove is that Jesus had a multiple personality disorder. He goes around praying to HIMSELF. Saying he's going to be BESIDE HIMSELF in heaven and saying he is GREATER than himself, and that he is about to ascend TO himself in heaven. He went around thanking himself for his meals and in the end called out to himself before his execution asking himself why he had forsaken himself. Does that not sound a bit strange?
OK: One citation: Isaiah 9, in it's prophecy about the messiah, says he would be called, among other things, "Mighty God". It doesn't say ALmighty God, but it does acknowledge his divinity and so do we.

<= non-Christian theist Jesus isn't God. Ne by no skill become, by no skill claimed to be, by no skill would be. All excerpts are from the hot American wide-unfold Bible. Can God ever be tempted into sin? ***** James a million:13 ***** enable no person say while he's tempted, "i'm being tempted by way of God"; for God won't be able to be tempted by way of evil, and He Himself does not tempt all people. become Jesus tempted, whether he sinned or no longer? ***** Matthew 4:a million ***** Then Jesus become led up by way of the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by way of the devil. Is Jesus all-efficient God, or can he be lead by way of somebody, no longer to show by way of a devil? ***** Matthew 4:8 ***** lower back, the devil took Him to a very severe mountain and confirmed Him each and all the kingdoms of the international and their glory; The Bible says Jesus become sinless, yet become tempted in each and every way which you and that i are tempted. each and every way? "God" become tempted, and in each and every way??? ***** Hebrews 4:15 ***** For we don't have a severe priest who won't be able to sympathize with our weaknesses, yet one that has been tempted in all issues as we are, yet without sin. Does God have a God? If Jesus become God, how can he have a God? ***** Revelation a million:a million ***** The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to coach to His bond-servants, the flaws which could quickly ensue; and He despatched and communicated it by way of His angel to His bond-servant John, lower back, does God have a God? additionally, God is omnipresent, meaning that he's everywhere on the comparable time. How can Jesus return to God if Jesus is God, which might make him omnipresent? So, if Jesus is God, which skill he's everywhere, and is likewise returning to himself on the comparable time??? ***** John 20:17 ***** Jesus stated, "do no longer carry directly to me, for I even have not yet decrease back to the father. pass rather to my brothers and tell them, 'i'm returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' " finally, while it comes all the way down to it, no you may even see God and stay. Why does not God have packed Himself right into a human physique while Moses asked to verify Him? it is impossible, by way of fact no human can manage it, least of each and all the only it fairly is stuffed with God. undergo in techniques, no guy can see God and stay, no longer even Jesus. God says so decrease than: ***** Exodus 33:20 ***** yet He stated, "you won't be able to see My face, for no guy can see Me and stay!"

I don't remember anywhere in the Bible Jesus(PBUH*) saying that he was God or the "SON OF" God. According to your version of the Bible Jesus said he was God. But there are over 2,000 different versions of the Bible so it's hard to know which one is right.

Why do you trust a book which was written by Human hands? I am surprised that Christians didn't spread the message that Bible was written in a magical way...same way Jesus birth stories had been created.
Try to use your brain. Not every one buy those stories. If those stories make you a better human being, good for you. Would you be comfortable with other community belief system? You were raised in certain manner. If it is hard for you to accept other religious belief system.....how do you think they feel when people like you come out preaching about Christianity.
