Since it was a man who wrote the story, you have to look at it in a theological point of view. During those times in that civilization, they were at war with each other.

So, actual people were coming in with weapons raping and pillaging their enemy for economic self serving interests.

If you want an accurate account of man and history, the Chinese culture has 5,000 years up on the Bible and a more accurate account, because their writings were the happenings at the time, not stories written 500 years after the death of a religious icon.

We are in the calm before the storm....
Can you not see the forest for the trees?
Do you not see the destruction that man is laying in front of him?

All that I can offer is this: Avoid the destruction which is soon to come.
Only Faith will allow a person to avoid it.
You may think this all hilarious, but give it some thought!

Rove - on!

This was His way of protecting the Israelites from their enemies as they conquered the lands that lay before them aka in front of them. The reputation of the Israelites swept throughout the lands making others afraid to fight them. They were considered to be protected by an unbeatable force.

"I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run."

The greek word used here traslates roughly into "tremondous fear". The English translation used the term "terror"

I dont' know but maybe it means that with all the people choosing Satan over Him something terrible is going to happen and it will be a wake up call to this nation. People were going against Isreal and He had to do something to help them out. Like right now. They are trying to take what is left of that nation. Its not going to happen. So I know God is going to have to do something to wake us up. Isreal is going to get all the land back that is hers. :) JUST WATCH AND SEE.

I believe that was when people were building a tower to reach heaven, and that is the point where languages became. he confused their language so that they were unable to communicate. And they began to move to other places on the earth.

Listen - I don't have the answer here. God is God - He is Maker, Provider, King - He is the Potter - we are the clay. He can do as He wills - He made us. He is Sovereign over everything and He brings things about for His Kingdom and our one day - those that are saved. Until we put our faith into Jesus Christ His Son, we only trust in ourselves. I hope this helps. Get to know God and His Son Jesus Christ - then you will read the Bible with spiritual eyes. Blessings dear one.
