Does anyone else think it's stupid for people to be making such a big deal about Joe Gibbs Racing switching to Toyota?? I mean come on, why is it such a big deal? I just think that people are making something out of nothing. Who cares, I just like racing and I LOVE Tony Stewart. I dont care what he drives. He is the only driver I really like and I will stick with him no matter what.

If you watch racing, the COT is only different engines. They said the body is slightly different for each manufacturer, but otherwise they are the exact same car. And by the way, who do you think you are saying toyota in un american, when there are toyota plants here in the US, giving many AMERICANS jobs. Oh what a shame. I do take offense to people bashing tony stewart anyways. And all I am saying, is if you are a true race fan, and a true fan of Tony's, it doesnt matter what he is driving. I would support him even if he switched teams. What difference does it make what these guys are driving. I am a racing fan. I watch all kinds of racing. I dont even pay attention to what kind of cars these people drive. To me, its whatever floats your boat. I think JGR will be great in Toyota. Did everyone really expect toyota to do well the first year? It takes time, but with JGR I think they will soar, everyone will see.

How is it selling out. I just think ya'll are making too big of deal out of this. No one has told me how its going to change the face of racing. OH MY GOD, its not going to change a damn thing. They are still going to go out there and win, because they are good, not because they are in chevys or toyotas. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE, RACING IS RACING.

I'm with you. How is it selling out to not renew a contract when it's up and instead go to someone offering more money. If someone offered you a higher salary to continue doing the same job you're currently doing, you'd take it!

With the Car of Tomorrow, all manufacturers have the same body and chassis, so all they have to change on the current fleet is some decals on the front and rear ends.

Manufacturers in NASCAR are now little more than sponsors. They pay the teams to put their logos on the vehicles.

The big deal to me is the fact that they are the class of the field right now in the COT races. With going to the COT full time next year you'd think they would be wise to stay put with Chevy. They have had great success and several championships in GM cars. It's my opinion that If it aint broke don't "fix" it. This was done for business reasons because Toyota can throw more money at teams than any other manufacturer. As far as "who cares", I can tell you a lot of loyal Chevy Racing fans care quite a bit.

People just don't like change. I think change makes life interesting. As far as Tony going to Toyota, I think he will help out Toyota make it in the Cup series. But why did Gibbs take Busch?

It's politics. I'm like you, I don't care what they drive or who they drive for---just let them drive and race. You could put Tony, Kenseth, Jr. and a lot others on skateboards and I'd still watch. I love racing also, but they have taken the fun out of just sitting back and letting the guys race. It's more about sponsorship and money. What happened to the good old times of racing?

It makes no difference to me what they drive I just love to watch. The fact is Tony can drive anything on wheels no matter what make.I root for Dale JR. ,Tony Stewart and Mark Martin win ,lose or draw. And I would like to see Micheal Waltrip do a lot better next year. I for one respect anyones favorite driver, its the sport that counts!

Yes I agree, but I wish JGR had stayed with gm. Tony is my second to favorite driver, and he will win lots of races in a Toyota. Tony can drive the heck out of any car.
Just wait and see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not pissed off or anything...I just feel that the Toyota cars have not performed as well as the other cars, that's all. I don't get the big deal people are making of it either.

Happy to hear that. Though he's not my #1 favorite I too like Tony and will continue to pull for him .

Its the driver I pull for not the make of the car or the team he's on .

Nor would it matter what his number was or his sponsor

It isn't that big of a deal logistically, but the fact that they sold out to Toyota is the issue.

Tony is my favorite driver and he will be next year. Chevy is my favorite car and it will be next year. I just wish I could keep the two together.
