no no, I LOVE to learn, I like discovering new facts which would contradict EVERYTHING and then make up theories and possible explanations... it's real fun

I like to learn. It's how I became an atheist. Was it fun being proven wrong? Hell no. But I got over it and learned how to embrace the truth, no matter what the truth may be.
It still sucks to be proven wrong, no matter how many times it happens. But learning to accept it and then moving on is very beneficial.
It takes a mature and intellectually honest and responsible person to act this way. Most people seem to lack such strength. Weakness of character and lack of integrity has never been an attractive trait... at least not to me.

I love to learn. I've spent a sufficient amount of my time learning about Christianity and I've learned enough about it to realize that it's clearly not true. And recently, I bought a copy of the Koran and read enough of it to realize that it's more-or-less the same kind of product as Christianity, just in a different colored wrapper. So these days, I concentrate my attention on learning more about the reality of the universe we live in. String theory, singularities, dimensional membranes. Far more awe-inspiring and enlightening than stories about talking snakes and donkeys, man-swallowing whales, flying horses and the moon being split in half.

Linz,
love to learn AND I love to dig through and search for information - not from what I know, but for what I try to link on a daily basis. The fun part for me is the policy consideration, suggestions, writing, and discussions that can get heated (from some hot heads I know).
Best to you!
Gerry :)

When I was Christian, I debated atheists... now that I'm an unbeliever, I debate Christians (R&S sure as heck doesn't count for anything ;) )... so I guess I can say - I like to learn the other's points rather than stay safe

Yes! No! Wait! uh.... Yes I like to learn and no I don't just seek out confirmation of what I think I know.
I firmly believe the day you stop learning is the day you die.
This is one of the reasons that as an atheist I hang out on R&S, to see if there is any new thing to learn.

I like to learn because focusing only on what you already know is boring and I'm not afraid of being wrong.

There is no end to learning. So learn till your brain works.
One should learn and master the art of Breathing,as that's what keeps one going.
