All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven.
I got an email regarding Muslims and I want to verify this information about Muslims being commanded by Allah to kill all the infidels.
Please no stupid answers and hateful answers. Let's get some facts. Please respond if you have good data!

It is not true.
Muslims can not even kill animals unless for food and can not even cut trees if not for shelter and beneficial use. So how could they kill human beings whose lives are deemed sacred by the Qur'an if even the lives of the lesser beings are totally respected and protected?
Muslims are over 1 billion people which means 1 in every 5 persons on earth is a Muslim. If Islam commands Muslims to kill non-Muslims, there would have no non-Muslims left in many Muslim lands. The fact is that all the oldest Christian sects like the Maronites and Coptics are still living in Muslim countries. While their counterpart churches were burned down in Europe by their fellow Christians and their followers were labelled as heretics thus killed, murdered, massacred and burned on stakes; these Christians lived and are living a life free of harassment and persecution from the Muslim majority. While the Christians in Europe could not tolerate their presence among them, the Muslims embraced them as equal despite of them being Christians.

Muslims are the followers of the Islamic faith.
The infidels that are being spoken of in the Quran are all within the heart of man. Negative qualities. These are the qualities in question that the Jihad must be waged against.
Man must cleanse the heart so that it is presentable to God, the One that is the Creator
An external war is pure insanity.

There was all kinds of stuff circulateing on UTube about muslims and how they were planning a jihad.
I was worried that it just might be true.
Then there was this "how stupid are Americans"
It showed them interviewing a bunch of people supose to be off the street and could not find USA on a map. They were the most disfunctional people I have ever seen.
They thought France was an Island.
So the school thought are people really that stupid?
I mean they thought Bush should invade this small country they just made up it wasn't even a place. They just said that is what Bush wanted to do.
So they did their own survey and everyone they interviewed knew where the USA was on a map. No one was in agreement with invadeing another country because Bush said it was a good idea.
Then they began to realize that it was a hoax. Made up by actors to discredit this country. Now we don't believe anything that comes over UTube. I have to assume that the stories about muslims was just as credible.

All those Quotations given by our Non Muslim Brothers in the context of Killing Disbelievers and infidels were applicable only to those in the days of our Holy Prophet when they were engaged in war with them in Makkah, as such those quotations are not applicable today to others.
Let me give an example; An American commander instruct his colleague, Kill all of the Muslims who are attacking us.
Now a Press Reporter publishes this report and just writes;
American Soldiers say; Kill all the Muslims.
The reporter omits the words “who are attacking us” Will it not misinterpret the instructions and give bad name to the American soldiers.
Same thing these mischievous people have done by quoting only the portion of the quotations from Holy Quran without giving the reason and background of that revelation in Holy Quran, which interprets a wrong idea of the religion.
Muslim Rulers Have ruled India for Eight hundred years and we the Muslims are still a Minority in India. Why did they not kill all the Hindus as you say?
It is the other way my dear friends:
Millions of Muslims were murdered during War of Crusades in the name of Christianity, while this is not allowed in their religion and you preach me today that a Christian has to place his other cheek if some one slaps him on one.
Muslims have Ruled Spain for five hundred years and they did not force the Christians to embrace Islam and in the end the Christians overpowered the Muslims and killed all of them that you do not find Muslims there in Spain today. Why the Muslims did not kill the Christians or forced them to embrace Islam?
When The Jews were killed by the Christians they took shelter in the Muslim Countries. Why did the Muslims not kill the Jews as you say?
When British took over India, two hundred thousand Muslims were hanged in Delhi alone by Christians.
Islam means Peace and there is no compulsion in Religion as per Holy Book Quran. My Muslim Brothers and sisters have provided all of those Verses of Holy Quran in This Regard.

I would love for you & others to underderstand Islam basics. We are very happy when we hear that someone converts to Islam, but we dont push people into it. Should be a choice of open minded study and from the heart and soul.

No, All flowers of Allah should try to guide other people to the true religion in peace and wisdom, but if they forced not to tell other people about the truth, they should stay guide people to the true religion of God, then if some people start fighting them, at this moment only they have to fight them and kill them in the fight, till others stop fighting, if others stop fighting, Muslims must stop killing, and should stop fighting at once.

Here you have yet another Muslim who has never been commanded to kill non-Muslims.
There is a verse in the Qur'an that I can't look up because I have a time constraint right now, but the general meaning is that if you save the life of one person, then it is as if you are saving the lives of all mankind; likewise, if you take the life of a person, it is as if you are taking the lives of all of mankind.
A person is allowed to defend himself, but not to murder innocent people because they are not Muslims.
May Allah grant us all the wisdom to learn to live together.

This is NOT true. Think of it this way, if Muslims were commanded to kill every non Muslim then there wouldn't be anyone left in this world except Muslims, would there??

In fact, it is taught in the Holy Qur'an that that we must be tolerant of the religious beliefs of others that are different from our own.
Historically, Muslims have gone so far as to build both synagoges and cathedrals so that those Jews and Christians who lived in Muslim nations could practice their faith.
Another historical fact is that once the commander of a Muslim army politely refused to enter a Chiristain cathedral when invited to do so for fear that some of his followers might assume that it had been surrendered to them so as to become a mosque.
What you have heard is one of the multitude of falsehoods spread about Islam. The one you are citing is from the era of the First Crusades and was used to insite Christians to show no mercy to the men, women and children when they took a Muslim city during battle.
Islam literally means peace through the total submisson of an indivudal to Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala (i.e., God , Glorified and Exalted or Almighty).
Insha'Allah, should you have the opportunity to read a translation of the Holy Qur'an in the language you are most comfortable with, you will find that, when read in context, the whole of the Holy Qur'an is of peace, brotherhood, social order, fairness, honesty, tolerance, mercy and peace.
Insha'Allah, should you have the opportunity to learn about the life of the Last Prophet of God, Muhammad,(peace be upon him, his family and his followers) you will see the lived example of a man who could have literally had the whole world and all of its riches laid at his feet but rather chose to follow his God and lived simply, treating all others, even his enemies who had tried in vain to suppress Islam, who had slandered the Holy Qur'an, killed some of his relatives and had tried to murder him with the deepest respect, honor, charity, compassion and understanding. (I would recommend "Muhammad, A Prophet For Our Times", by Karen Armstrong for English speaking and reading persons.)

let me tell u the whole story...the true story...in the beginning when our prophet "peace be upon him" was born n during his period,the holy book of muslims ( QURAN) was revealed...
in those days n his(prophet S.A.W)period there were many disbelievers....those disbelievers were jews n others who didnt believe me ALLAH and HIS MESSENGER...
those disbelievers were powerful n were trying to kill the muslims n the prophet(S.A.W)....
there are few things mentioned in the holy book that whoever tries to kill or distroy muslims then we shall kill them n this will be not a crime but be regarded as a holy war (jihad)....
this is only when someone tries to harm us by any kind of religious hatred.....
we muslims r not suppose to kill all who dont believe in ALLAH....we dont have that right.....
but unfortunately many muslim groups have been formed n due to there wrong acts we all muslims have to suffer....
i love peace n i wud love to see our world living in peace....without fighting with eachother.....
