Digital camo proved vastly superior to traditonal camo blotches. Camo blotches were integrated after the Allies saw how well it worked for the SS in WW2. America adapted blotch camo in vietnam. Uniforms are always updated and changed.
The beret is issued to all Army personnel for uniformity. (no difference between Male and Female cover) Special forces were green or red, regular army wears black.

The American Forces are not wearing Russian Camo, while the Russians were the first to use digital style camo, (printed in blocks) the colors of the present day Russian and American uniforms and the shape of the layout are vastly different.

The Russians and Americans use berets since the 1960's, so what? they are originally a French style of headgear and were used by the French in WW1 and British para and tank Corps used them in WW2.

Many other Armies decided that the beret would be suitable headgear to identify their elite units such as the Special Forces and Paratroopers.

Special Forces are highly-trained troops cross-trained in various specialist areas, highly motivated and usually self-reliant highly mobile and used for deep penetration of enemy rear areas and to make lightning strikes on enemy rear installations or just for deep reconnaissance missions to gather information on enemy troop movements.

They are the new ACUs. its supose to help blend in better to more vast surroundings, although i think the marines camo is better. The army has always warn black berets. The Army Special Forces (Green barets) and Rangers wear Tan barets.

i think of any who can infiltrate and act as though they belong, many times have an benefit. somewhat there are those "communities" who merely stand out as "Get em and produce em back alive, and don't depart witnesses." in the extra cutting-edge or cutting-edge sense i think of army Seals. Oh why did I p.c.. them? It somewhat does not have lots to do with the dep. of service because it has to do with the way they interpret covert. For the army it could be Rangers.
