You could try this: "No thank you, I've personally examined the beliefs of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society and find them to be Scripturally unsubstantiated. The WBTS's translation of John 1:1 (and the rest of their 'New World Translation') is unsupported by most respected Koine Greek scholars. Furthermore, since you believe Jesus is "a god," this makes you polytheists, a concept that God hates. I have no desire to debate these matters. Have a good day, though!"
But have you considered the possibility that God is sending you these "Watchtower Witnesses" so you can witness the REAL truth to them? Pray about it and see what He tells you.

once you ask a Jehovah Witness, Are you Christians? some say we are, Jehovah Witness. They have not spoke back the question. it is probable because of the fact they are not Christians. Why might they pass door to door? Alex: what's unhappy right this is that they are not saved. they have not taken , Jesus Christ as their very own Lord and Saviour. they have not been saved. You cant wait and spot in case you're saved once you die. you should be attentive to, now which you're saved. you should place your have confidence in God. via asking Jesus Christ to return into your coronary heart and saved you. he would be your Lord and saviour. persist with him in Baptism. purely considering you think of you're serving the only authentic God, dont make you a Christian. For via grace are you saved with the aid of faith; and that no longer of yourselves: it is the present of God: no longer of works, lest any guy could boast. EPHESIANS 2:8-9

Well...as far as the less than God thing, I don't know what to say...
But we do receive salvation through works. If we give to charity, help each other, spread the word...those are GOOD works....sin is bad works...Jesus will judge us for our works....agree?

Scripture. You'll find a lot more info in my sources!
But we are all like an unclean thing,
And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;
We all fade as a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind,
Have taken us away. Is. 64:6
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Eph. 2:8-9
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Rom. 11:29
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were SEALED for the day of redemption. Eph. 4:30

Hi, I was in the Jehovah's Witnesses for my entire life up until a few yrs ago. Im telling you now that you should just say "no thanks"...they will not listen to ANY reasonable questions or thoughts that you may give and in fairness they are not trying to be mean, they have good intentions they just go about it the wrong way.

If you don't have time for a long discussion, you're better off just telling them "no thanks" and telling them you're a born again Christian. If you say anything about the Bible at all, you are going to end up in a long conversation and playing Bible ping pong with every verse either side brings up.

i would try
"i'm sorry, but i'm busy right now."
or
"i'm sorry, but this is not a good time."
it seems to me that that response usually works, and the fact that you are waiting for a bus should make it work a little better. (because it is so clear that you are busy...waiting)
what can i say? I like it.

Refer them to Isaiah 43:10-13.... in their OWN Bible:
“YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior. I myself have told forth and have saved and have caused [it] to be heard, when there was among YOU no strange [god]. So YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God. Also, all the time I am the same One; and there is no one effecting deliverance out of my own hand. I shall get active, and who can turn it back?”
These verses make it absolutely clear that NO OTHER god was formed...and there is NO OTHER savior.
"...UNDERSTAND THAT I AM THE SAME ONE...ALL THE TIME I AM THE SAME ONE."

I am a JW myself, and yes, we believe that faith without works is dead, because that's what the Bible says; we didn't just make that up (James 2:26).
Just say that you aren't interested. Most JWs will leave you alone after that. There are some who are new and they haven't learned yet not to be "pushy", so you'll have to excuse them.

Good for you Ironwood9,
How about telling them that you believe Jesus was fully God and fully man. If it were not so then we would still be dead in our sins and without hope.
Or else how about telling them that your heavenly Father has told you that you are not allowed to listen to FALSE prophets and you do not want to do anything that would grieve your heavenly Father.
For His glory,
JOYfilled
