YOU do not get BAH. your spouse does.
If you are not on his Page two, you cannot be entered into DEERS and thus he is ineligible to receive BAH/w Dependents.
If you are not in DEERS than you cannot get an ID nor can you sign up for Medical and dental.
If he just left for Basic/Boot Camp, you will receive a package in the mail with all the necessary paperwork in it that enables you to go to any base and get your ID. until you get that paperwork you can do nothing.

The person above gave the best answer, choose his/hers! lol. They are right, your spouse will still receive housing allowance. You are enrolled into DEERS once you have your military ID. What is the reason NOT to have an ID? I have seen women collecting their husband's money eventhough they do not technically want to be married to them anymore..... therefore they let their IDs "run out" ... yet, still collect. Usually when the spouse is in Iraq. Not saying you are doing this.. but, I see it a lot.

Yes he will still be paid Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), as long as your marriage is cited on his Pg. 2 (Dependents, and next of kin) in his service record. If he is in the area he needs to take you to the ID card section at PSD, if he is not there, then you need to get a hold of him and have is Commands Ship office get you and ID card application, which you will need along with your birth certificate, and social security card.... Good Luck.

You will still get BAH as long as his unit administratior put it in the system. As far as DEERS, he can do that himself. I beleive there is a link on AKO, for him to check that stuff, and if it not correct, he can do what is needed.

Okay... sounds like his mom is ripping you all off. i would really talk to him about this because his mother should not be getting his money u and him should. besides the army should have helped before he left. my husband and i got married 2 days before he left for basic and before he left they told us to get a bank account together so we would both have access to his pay. like i said sounds like that is a problem with his mom taking the money not the army. by the way you should also be getting 250 for family seperation if he is at training or anywhere stationed away from you
