What color is the furniture?
Suggest a print of blue, cream, and furniture color for windows and throw pillows - this will tie all the room together.
Add some other accessories in blues and creams such as
lamps, vases, ornaments, flowerpots, candles.
Pick frames for art in similar color and material - oak/walnut, brass/chrome, colored enamel. Would be nice if the art had a bit of blue in it. Can be paintings, posters, embroidery, crafts.
Then add some plants or flowers.

Darker blue drapes might help, depending on the color of your sofa etc.
accent with blue pillows or all colors of the furniture rug and walls.
cover your walls with smaller pictures of different shapes and sizes of certain categories, like all family pics or 17 century people, landscape, stuff like that .
U need to bring out the colors in your sculptures, artwork and throw rugs.

We have an apt. I use Command strips to put up picture frames. I'm also looking into hanging a wall quilt with velcro.
Tiffany lamps really give color to a room too.

Try mostly cream but with one wall an exciting color like orange or yellow. Painting the walls is much easier than repapering

Mix and match different shades of blue. Make the fireplace the focal point. Add candles and some greenery to it.
