can you have them send it to you. I was staying at a motel at the beach, in the same state, but different city. I can't make it back there, but I really want the couple of pieces of clothing that I accidently left there. Is there anyway a motel would send it to me?

Unless it is a really crappy place they should. If they seem hesitant offer to pay the cost of shipping.

Any decent one will not hesitate to send your items back at their own expense in the hope that you will either come back again or recommend them to your friends.

You need to call right away and ask them. Maybe they will and charge you a small fee. I left family jewelry at one 2 1/2 hours away, and didn't notice for 4 months because we had evacuated cos of a hurricane and we took some of our more important stuff- by then it was too late. They hold it ( unless someone decides they want a five finger discount ) for a brief period and then get rid of it one way or another. I know someone who's worked in a hotel for many years...

Depends on the motel. Most will send items if they have them. They might request you pay the shipping fees.

If you call them and they have the items, they will usually take a credit card number over the phone and send them back to you.
