woman. That I mean the world to him and am a million times better and worth more than any other women he's been with put together. I want to believe what he says and feel that our love is true, but a part of me holds back for fear that it could all come crashing down. He's my first everything (love, serious relationship, sex partner) and he's almost 13 years older than me so I kind of feel like he has all this experience, both positive and negative that I don't have. It makes me wonder how he can be sure about what he feels and wants with me, when with his experience he should be a little more wary since he knows how relationships can fail. It's kind of like I should be the naive one that thinks this will last forever since I DON'T know how things can go wrong. Am I just being negative? Should I just take what he says and run with it, hoping for the best and not questioning so much?

I'm 26, he's almost 39. We've been together almost 2 years.

What are your ages?
My gut feeling is to say no to marriage. It's too big of a step to throw caution to the wind.
You need more experience with different people and more time to grow and mature.
The age difference concerns me, too.
If, after a few years you are still together and getting along well, then maybe you can consider marriage.
I honestly don't see what the hurry is.
