On the corner of 13th & South Streets, used to be Fats Tats! GREAT & AFFORDABLE Artists!
South Street Eddies, 3rd or 5th & South, one of those lower numbered streets off South (600 Block)
Of the 13 tattoos I have only three of them were not done on South Street. I got one in Syracuse while going to school. I got one on 63rd and Market, it's OK, but compared to my others it looks cheap...that's the last thing you want! The most recent i got on Kensington Avenue somewhere around Allegheny, my favorite tat yet.
I wont send you pics, beause I like my original tattoos, but I will say looking for cheap is never good! Look for quality & affordability!

I guess a ton of people can repeat that good tattoos arent cheap... But they arent really helping you, are they? Getting a good tattoo at a discounted rate is actually very possible, but it takes a little searching. Here's how it works: find the top tattoo shops in the area, then call them up or visit them. Ask them if they have final stage apprentice artists in the shop, if so, ask to see the apprentices portfolio. When you find one that has the style and quality you like, run your art by them, have them draw it out if the ideas are in your head. I apprenticed at a shop for a long while before I was allowed to use my machine on customers... And even when I could, it was a VERY discounted rate. But everyone is happy, the apprentice has another portfolio piece, and you get art from the artist who is trying their hardest to be perfect!
Where I am, a 300 dollar tat is about 100 bucks if done by an understudy.
as far as multi tats in one day... Do one first, find out how your skin takes it, everyone heal time is different. Once you know, then you will know if you
can handle the trauma of two or three affected areas in one day.

I would research the philly area and the backround of the tattoo place, there are some pretty bad place that you would get hep B, you do not want that, or talk to some people or friends you know that have tattoos and see where they went and how it went and did they like the place was it clean? Or was it on some back alley? Good luck...

good tattoos and CHEAP are never in the same sentence. Remember you pay for what you get! The first tattoo I got was so cheap, and boy you can tell! I want to get it covered up in a bad way! My advice is save up and go to a good reputable artist in your area!!

Cheap and good hardly ever run together. You are paying for that artists skills, find one you trust and pay their price. Don't price hunt- that is asking for trouble and a horrible tattoo. Artist hunt- look for skill and the style you like. Now about getting multiples at the same time .. it can be done but makes it harder for your body to heal multiple injuries. My advice is to get them seperately, at least 2 weeks apart if not totally healed. Mine is on my ankle and it took about a month and a half to heal. Seriously, don't go looking for some where cheap, look for somewhere trully good. The more color, detail and the bigger they are the more they will cost.

the phrase "good cheap tattoo" just doesn't fit. good tattoos are never cheap and cheap tattoos are NEVER GOOD!!! so you need to decide what is important to you. having a good tattoo, or better yet a great one or having a cheap one and continuing the trailer trash stereotype that non tattooed people have about us. i personally chose to have great tattoos and spend the extra money so that i will be happy with the ink that is on my skin FOREVER.

Don't go for cheap because that is what you will get . Just think this tat is going to be on your body for the rest of your life . Unless you have it taken off and that leaves a scar for the rest of your life .So think about it for a while and save your money and get a good one.
