I was researching for a paper I have to do for my psychology class and I ran into several people bashing Dr. Dobson, but with no reasons to back their their feelings up. Please tell me why he is a quack/false teacher.

Please be specific. How is he ruining families? What rights is he trying to take away? Things like that.

Doctor James Dobson is awesome. He is someone worth listening to. He is not a quack or a false teacher. He's right up there with Billy Graham on my list.

Dobson is mentioned in the book "Holy Terror" as one of those who is using modern media to basically do "for" Christianity what Herr Goebbels did for Nazism: propaganda, with all its dirty tricks. I have never seen him myself, because I don't have a TV.
Actually, when I count my blessings, I always start with "I don't have a TV."
P.S. Just to play fair, I went to his web site. I was right: propaganda. And a mighty large profit, too, I don't doubt.

He is actively working to deny some families of their rights, and has the gall to call his organization "Focus on the Family".

He wrote some pretty good books other than that I don't know a lot about him.
