If he can do anything, why didn't he just "make" some more sons so that he doesn't feel bad about his one and only son?
[I'm not asking this to mock any religion. I was just wondering about this and that's why I asked.]

To somewhat enlightened: Yes, I do care about God. Otherwise, I wouldn't be asking all these questions. But I still don't know. Do you? Please give your answer. Not stupid comments.

Please Allow me to assist you...It should read as follows...."for God so loved "the race of man that He created" that He gave his only begotten son....and the Lord God "didn't Feel Bad" about Jesus giving up His life either, They had an "Agreement" Long before they ever said.."Let Ther Be Light!" this is why in the bible, is states, the plan of Salvation was conceived before the "Foundations of the World" so, please, don't be discouraged...they were more than "Happy" to do this on our behalf! And, through the sacrifice of Christ, "WE" can also become those "other sons" of God you were talking about, because this was His "Plan" to have "other" sons. Just a little differant than what you were thinking....so He is in the "Other Son Making Business" Through Jesus Christ OUr Lord and Saviour, it was "Planned this way....we are the ones He loved...He made this plan with us in His heart and mind, and ain't it so cool?.....lol

Hi -
I haven't read that God felt bad that Jesus was His only son.
Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was completely sufficient to pay the penalty for sin.
I am glad that you are not here to mock, that is refreshing. I saw in another one of your posts that you went to a Christian school. It didn't sound like you enjoyed it.
I started studying the Bible as an adult and was eager to learn. It is one of my favorite things to do and it never gets old.
If you have other questions about God, Jesus, the Bible please feel free to email me.

Jesus is not the only son of God.
The angels are referred to as such.
Humans are referred to as such.
Jesus is a unique son of God in that he was the first created and the only one DIRECTLY created by God.
It was him staying loyal to God, in the face of death, that provided the classic, once-for-all-time showdown.
Others could have volunteered, but Jesus is the big gun.

The bible does not say "one and only". It says "only begotten".
When studying scriptures, you'll find that there are "other sons" .... and daughters: The church:
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12)
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14)
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (Galatians 4:6)
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1st John 3:2)
Understand, that when God became a man, Jesus Christ, He sacrifices His own life, as being the "Son of God" that He would make MANY sons of God!
Jesus is called the "firstfruits"...
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. (1st Corinthians 15:23)

Jesus is also God. He is part of the personality of God called the Son. He needs not make another Him. He is sufficient.

"one an only son" is a metaphor full of meaning - a way
to tell us a deeper meaning - otherwise, we could not
fathom it at all! It is the way God chose to reveal it.
This life is only a "parable" of the spiritual world.

The Son is not a created being but a part of the whole of God that is before creation. God does not create God.
Edit to anna...God does not need blood but man does.

He did...we are all his sons and daughters. He gave his only begotten son...basically Jesus is God in the Flesh, he sacraficed himself to pay the price for our sins.
