Dental schools offer that service. They have senior students supervised by licensed dentists. The costs are nominal at most.

Northwestern's Dentistry college closed about a decade ago. UIC College of Dentistry does have a clinic, but I don't know if they do wisdom teeth. You can go to the county clinic's but the wait for dentists is about 6 months long.

I don't know about your area. But I've found that dental schools are usually pretty cheap (because they are not Doctors yet). They do have dentists supervising and approving the work being done.

I'm not from Chicago, but wanted to point out something in regard to your "no insurance" comment.

Health insurance (rather than dental) would be your primary insurance for wisdom teeth if they are impacted. So, if you mean you have no Dental insurance, perhaps you are still covered if you DO have Health insurance. Call your health insurance provider to see what is covered if you do in fact have health insurance.

Good Luck

You have both Northwestern and UI Chicago right there. I'm guessing it won't be cheap, but it'll be less than having it at a regular dentist's
