Hi,
I'm looking for poems or verses about sisters to use at the viewing at the funeral home. I'd also appreciate any about a daughter from her parents to be used for same purpose. Any info would be very appreciated!

Given to this family
On loan, to keep
but briefly - sister sweet
it's time for you to sleep.

Yet you're awake
and looking down
on your but mortal remains,
whilst on your head - a crown!

(And from parents to a daughter... at no extra charge...)

You are our joy, our great delight
Though your soul has taken flight.
One day we'll wing our way to you.
May God's love encompass us too.

To a Sister

Side by side we grew together.
Tiffs and tussles came between.
Always we forgave each other.
Always we came back again.

You were my soft place to fall on
When I needed help from pain.
Each knew each of us could call on
Each for comfort now and then.

I knew you could feel my sorrow.
You knew I could feel your joy.
Yesterday, today, tomorrow,
Trust and spirit we employed.

Now the bond of life is broken.
Now no more your face is seen.
But a gentle kiss unspoken
Steals across the gulf between,

For I feel your hand in my hand,
And I feel your heartbeat near,
And I feel the gentle presence,
Of the one I held so dear.

To a Daughter

An angel from on high you were, you gently flew to earth
And there was nothing that eclipsed our rapture at your birth.
You came into our lives, our girl, a bundle soft and sweet
The awesome responsibility, just swept us off our feet.

We watched you grow, and walk, and talk, and laugh, and sometimes cry,
And question each and everything and watch with hawk-like eye.
Somehow you saw the best in us and took it all to heart.
We were so proud to see you reach for all we could impart.

How did we know the day would come we'd have tosay farewell
To all our hearts held oh so dear, to she who, stardust, fell
Into our lives, an angel sent, sweet bundle, awesome gift.
Nothing can heal our heartache, nothing mend this awful rift.

Goodbye, our love, goodbye, goodbye, and watch us from above
And know that time will never change our deep abiding love.

Hope these help. I'm sorry for your grief.

"Pulses and Ripples" -Anonymous It could have been so much more The faint pulses of your existence in my life They were precious ones But I never learned to grasp the full beauty of those pulses I only looked to what was obvious It could have been so much more Now those pulses are done But there are still the ripple effects For in some way, somehow You are in our presence right now Some might say in the form of a spirit But if not in the form of a spirit You are here in our behavior You have affected our way of thinking Even in the smallest of ways Because your pulse reached us May those ripples live on as long as possible Until all of us Converge in death
