i like to buy my three-year-old son age appropriate toys, his friend, who's also three is getting a nintendo ds for christmas and i just think - what will be left to buy him when he's 7, 8 or 9???

anyway, my son is majorly into 'little people' he already has the garage and pirate ship and plays with them all the time! he's asked for the airport for christmas this year!

i am also going to get him a tool bench and a leap frog L-Max (i'll give you a link to it so you can see what it is!)

some toys my son has and loves are.....

His roller skates, scooter, doctors set, spiderman dressing up outfit, kitchen, laptop, chalk board etc.

here are some links to some toys i've suggested...

hope i have given you some ideas, go for character toys too, my son id really into lazytown and spiderman so i just go on Amazon.co.uk and buy character toys/p.j's/duvet covers etc.

my son will be exactly 3 and a half on christmas. I dont know what to get him either. I was thinking maybe one of those fisher price basketball stands (the little ones that r real bright ya know?) .. i was thinking that or a new bicycle. Of course i'll be getting him a bunch of cars and car garages and stuff for his hot wheels too... My son LOVES to run the cars around the little car garage thing. and he likes dump trucks and all those other construction things.

Maybe i'll take him to the store and see what he goes to and likes the best, then return to get the toys later. Maybe that might help.

My son will be three and a half during christmas and my hubby and I are going to buy him a bike. He loves riding his spider man tricycle but it is too low to the ground so he gets frustrated cause it doesn't go fast enough. I have seen some cute bikes for his age group and I think that he will really like it. It is also good for him (and us) because we will be able to spend more time outside when the weather is good.

Geo Trax by Fisher-Price. Lots of creative play, lots of vehilcles. It even has an airport now. My 6 yr old started on this when he was 3 and now he plays with his 3 year old Geo Trax crazed brother. My husband loves to get in a design tracks for them. It's great.

My three old boy has been quite adamant what he wants for christmas a scooter. Suits me they only cost a tenner plus a safety hat etc. Ask your son show him pictures of things he'll soon let you know what he likes. My 3 yr old is also a huge Doctor who fan but i think that is slighty influnced from his 7yr old brother,

Wooden puzzles, building blocks, Lincoln logs. This is a good time to start adding toys that will help him learn some problem solving and develop his small motor skills.

well my son is almost 4 too and i have got him a new bike and power rangers things and lego and knex for christmas it really depends what your child is interested in at the moment i thought a lot of the toys others answered are a little too babish for this age.
what i do is around now take him to toyshop and let him have a look around just stand back and watch what kinda things he goes for this will help you see what he is interested in and also what kinda things he watches on tv.im sure he will be happy with whatever he gets they are easily pleased at this age best of luck shopping

How about a fancy dress outfit such as Spiderman, Superman, a Pirate etc. No doubt he'll start to be asked to fancy dress parties soon!

Use your imagination people!
