GOOD QUESTION!!! HE HAS DONE PLENTY TO GET IMPEACHED. HE HAS LIED PLENTY TO THIS COUNTRY. I AM FAR LESS CONCERNED ABOUT A PRESIDENT THAT LIES ABOUT AN AFFAIR, THAN A PRESIDENT THAT LIES ABOUT A WAR THAT KILLS THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.

Are you really as stupid as this sounds? You and other idiots don't get to "vote" on whether to bring troops home from Iraq, or anyplace else. Pres. Bush is the Commander in Chief of all armed services, here and abroad. And you probably aren't old enough to have voted for Pres. Bush, or anyone else 8 years ago. And what does "impeched" mean? To impeach a president he has to have been found guilty of treason, or maybe like Bill Clinton, getting blow jobs in the Oval Office while lying to the American public on television. Grow up and learn more about this before you propose impeaching a sitting president.

You see...that is the beauty of our democracy.....it is a "representative" democracy. If we (as a country) did whatever the mob, or the loudest people, said all the time, we would be a doomed nation. That is why we have elected officials to make decisions in our behalf....without the "mob" mentality.

Even though many people in our country, and around the world for that matter, want the conflict in Iraq to end, the sad news is that this conflict, like any other conflict will not reslove itself.

When the world at large, especially the American people begin to realize that a continued stong military presence in the middle east is the only way to manage and therefore prevent terrorism and suicide bombings from being a daily event on US soil, the better off we will be.

We have to get it into our heads...when you deal with terrorists, there is NO negotiations....when they bring a bomb, we bring a nuke......when they send one of our boys to hospital, we send ten of theirs to the morgue.

I know what you realy want, is to sleep better at night....you want to put your head down on you pillow, knowing that the world is a peaceful...happy place. Well, I am sorry to break this to you, but the reality is that this is a VERY brutal world. When you come to that realization, you will probably appreciate president Bush a whole lot more.

Because he hasn't done anything to warrant any such action. Little boy, just because you lust for your liberal, socialist, feminazi social studies teacher doesn't mean everyone sees the world as you do. We don't all watch CNN nor read the New York Times. Many of us who put President Bush in office did so because it was a better choice than the others we where faced with. By the way...the democrats vowed to pull the troops out when they gained control in Congress yet this hasn't happened. Your question has no merit. Furthermore anyone who agrees with you on this are just socialist pigs, and misfit soviets.

Behold the democratic constituency.

No disrespect, dude, but you're woefully uninformed and uneducated. Ripe pickin's for the democrat party.

To be impeached, the president must have committed a crime, which this president has not. And, while the war may be unpopular with many people, even most of the democrats recognize that simply pulling out would be a very bad idea. We'll pull out when the job is done.

Some of the answers to this question suggest that Bill Clinton was impeached because he committed a crime. Bill Clinton committed no crime and was never charged with one. Having sex in the Oval Office and later lying about it may not be a stellar example of good judgment but it is NOT a crime. The case against him was so weak and so blatantly political that the Senate, even with a majority of Republicans could NOT get a simple majority vote to convict much less the 2/3 needed to convict. George Bush on the other hand has committed a number of offenses, as outlined in previous answers, that could be grounds for impeachment if the Democrats had the political will to do so. So far, they have not exhibited that will.

He doesn't hold the label as Commander In Chief for no reason. You do know that the Commander in Chief is the leader of the military right? Once Congress gives him the power to wage war, then it is not up to them, it is up to the president. So you might want to think twice about who you support in Congress. You know, like a few Democrats such as Hillary Clinton and John Kerry who voted to give him the power to wage war. And now they are against it. Is it a coincidence that the whole movement against the war started about a year before the mid terms? Is it just for political power? I'll let you be the judge of that one. As far as being impeached, The president has to commit a crime in order for that to happen. Just because people disagree with his policies isn't grounds for impeachment.

Because "sweet cheeks" he is impeachable.

Bush and the elected Government of the USA have more say with regards the US Policys than a bunch of cry baby civilians.

There was no vote by civilians, the Government is managing to do its job with out the imput of a bunch of cowards.

Because Pelosi and Reid are proving they are wimps. They needed to step up to the plate and put the proposal on the table. There are enough votes to get both Cheney and Bush impeached for deceiving the American people and lying to Congress (which are high crimes and misdemeanors unlike civil perjury which is not in the same category). There is not the necessary 60 votes necessary for removal. However, being impeached is enough to give both men the pause enough to start dong the right thing.

After reading some of the answers to your question, it's obvious that a lot of americans have been "Bush-whacked" into believing all his lies are actually the truth. Plus Bush is protected by the media and the rich and powerful.

If I had a dollar for every time someone posted this question.... I'm not a lawyer, but I am a thinker and I am thinking you have to break a law to get impeached. Like lying under oath or something like that. Thanks for the two points.
Also, anyone who says there is evidence of a law broken is just not smart. Clear enough for you?

To Glen B who said that not giving due process to detainees is a violation of law: You're not smart. Those were foreign combatants. They didn't even have a uniform on. There was no law to protect their so called rights. For the Geneva Convention to apply they need to be a member of an army from a country. Come on! Wake up America!
