A gift basket might be nice, or flowers for her and a bottle of wine for him?
But to be honest, they sound like lovely people and a lovely card with a few words from you I think would be sufficient.
You don't want to over thank if you know what I mean as they may feel awkward but only you can judge that.
Good luck :)

Why not send a nice gift basket. Go on line with Wine Country Gift Baskets. They have tons of choices and most are without wines if you do not wish to send wine or Montana does not allow wine sent. I have used this company for everything....Christmas, Father/Mothers Day, Congrats, New Baby, etc. and everyone loves them.

Perhaps send a gift card to a restaurant you know they like and a thank you card with a heartfelt, honest message in it. If you can ship something handmade (cookies, a small quilt), that will work too. A small gift is appropriate in this instance, I think.

How about finding out what really nice restaurants there are out there and sending them a gift certificate to go there? People love eating out =) and since they were so hospitable to you, it's sort of like being hospitable back... from far away... lol

I think a thank-you card will be appreciated after all they seem to be very nice people a thankyou is all that's required
maybe next year when you visit them again you maybe could take them out for a meal but I am sure they won't expect anything. hope this helps

Send a gift basket. Try one of the online florists or www.gifttree.com. Or you could send them a gift certificate for them to go out to dinner.

Personally, I say you should try sending them food, it's thoughtful, useful to EVERYONE, practical and not too emotional. Omaha Steaks or Figi's catalog are real nice
