How long can bottled water last?

Question

I found a great deal on bottled water, that I won't be using until June of next year.

I was curious as to how long bottled water is good for?

As in, can I buy it now, and store it, and it still be good for June?

I didn't think the water expired, but I've heard there are expiration dates on the bottle itself. Thanks for that bit of info :)

bottled water generally has a shelf life of about two years unless its the flavored kind, I don't know about that

Water itself never expires...

However the reason there are expiration dates on bottle water is because over time the plastic leaches into the water. At least on most brands of bottle water. There are some that are made out of a certain kind of plastic that doesn't leach.

I'd suggest keeping it out of the sun and heat to prevent leaching as much as possible.

I think it is usually about 2 years but the bottles should indicate an expiration date. And here's a random fact, it's not the water itself that expires but the plastic bottle.

Water does not expire. The plastic that's used in the bottle does, however. Check for the expiration date on the bottle itself. Do not freeze it, as when you thaw it out it will look like a snow globe because of the calcium chloride in it (that's a natural ingredient in water).

Water is water. If you have doubts, why not freeze it until you need it?
