I absolutely love the idea of a guy being chivalrous! A lot of the guys I know (not bf's though) are actually very chivalrous to me when I'm around. They'll open doors, get things for me, offer they're coat, etc (and i did know about the road thing!!! most ppl dont, lol) It's really sweet. And I've never seen chivalry and courting as synonyms, where did you get that?? I see them as two different things. You have to be chivalrous to court someone, but you don't have to be courting a girl to be chivalrous to her. In my opinion anyway.

It's nice to come across a man who opens doors for you or pull your seat out so you can seat at the dinner table, etc. I believe about 35-50% of women still believe in chivalry. The question is what percentage of men still practice it? Have men stop because they feel we are too independent?

I am a firm believer that chivalry is not dead! Opening doors, giving a girl your jacket, etc, are common manners that some feminists decided they didn't like and therfore didn't want. I love it when a guy is polite and opens doors, walks on the street-side of the road(betcha didn't know about that one!), offers me his coat, and is just all on his best behavior. It's actually a turn on! It makes me feel really special, but at the same time I don't feel like an invalid or weakling. It lets me know he cares and puts thought into the things he does.

Chivalry is not a synonym to courting. Chivalry is the qualities idealized by knighthood, such as bravery, courtesy, honor, and gallantry toward women. So yes, most women want men to be brave, courtesy, and honorable.

I believe in it. I think chivalry shows alot about a mans character and respect for a woman in general. It's rare but it's out there and it always makes me smile to see it, even if it's not directed toward me.

Most women, probably 95%.

But, feminists hate chivalry usually hate men. So, your chances of ending up on a date with one are pretty low.

Too many women believe in both chivalry and equality between the sexes. It is virtually impossible to have both, and that's why so many women are unhappy...because they want both.

I love it when my husband shows chivalry. It makes me feel like I am his princess.

In return I do nice things for him.

in my opinion... chivalry is DEAD... and women killed it!
ITs gotten to the point where gals have made it to easy for guys to take advantage of them resulting in lazyness on the mens part. Its just something you dont see anymore.
