Typically cycling is a good cardio-set on a low resistance. Raising your cadio and target heart rate to a healthy level will help your metabolism burn calories. By doing that you have stared the process of lossing mass.
What the bike can't do is create and ton muscle in the stomach and back.
If you do a high resistance level, you will be adding bulk muscle which also weighs more than fat.
If you have access to a gym, eliptical machines are a good way at sliming and toning the thighs, the backs of the thighs and the butt.
Ab roll machines are better for toning the abdomin, as well as weighted crunches for advanced users.

My body fluctuated where at first my legs slimmed out at a very small amount (toned/lean), but over time with additional weight lifting they increased in size. I think it depends on what other exercises you are including in your workout. With the resistance factor in cycling you should see some eventual increase.
Accompanied with a good diet your stomach should slim down.

If you cycle enough, you will look like a cyclist. Google Tour de France images.
Any differences from your current shape depend on just what that is. If you're already skinny, then you will notice additional muscle in your quads and hammy's. If you're fat in that area, most likely any additional muscle will go unnoticed as the fat goes away.
Note that fat is used up all over the body. Cycling can't target fat in one specific area any more than any other exercise. Its the burning of excess calories that does that.

People with all levels of fitness and endurance can benefit from cycling. It is terrific alternatives to aerobic exercise.
And here is how aerobic exercise can help you lose weight:
Actually, for the first twenty minutes of your aerobic exercise, you are burning about eighty per cent carbohydrates and twenty per cent fat. If your goal is to lose weight, you want to burn more fat and less carbs, right?
Well, the next twenty minutes will get you into about a fifty/fifty mode. You're burning a lot more fat than you were and that's a good thing.
If you go beyond forty minutes, you will be burning about eighty per cent fat. Realistically though, most people are not going to exercise for that long. Twenty to thirty minutes of aerobic easy exercise is about average.
You cannot spot reduce anywhere on your body. You can spot tone your muscles in the area you are targeting, but you cannot spot reduce.
My suggestion is healthy diet and exercise.

Before you gain muscle, you have to get rid of the fat. So you lose mass first, but once you've been at it for a while, the muscle will start gaining. And yes, it will slim your whole body-including your stomach.
