Some people put themselves in "crisis" at any age when they're not doing what they think they should be doing, or where they thought they'd be in life by that time.

Hey. I dont think its so much a mid 20's crisis... You see the day & age we live in there are 16yr olds with kids and get married when they 18yrs and by the time they 23yrs, they been married for 5yrs with 2 kids where 1 is staring school and they feel all grown up when they have bairly lived their lives because of rushing which makes you feel that you are on a go slow. In matter a fact there is no rush we young and have so much to accomplish... like buying a house of your own, a car, making a career and being financially stable before you settle down and have a family. My grand parents and parents didn't rush their lives and they've lived well and are satisfied. Yes we dont know what awaits us tomorrow but enjoy everyday and build your life as each day comes then you wont be in a rush but get what you want and need in the right time that is suited for your lifes path. Im 22yrs and im enjoying life and beleive me I dont have alot going for me but I still love my life. It gets difficult at time but I always remember that "God can do the impossible" !!! All the best with dealing with life in general.

I think there can be everyday crisis!! lol Yeah some people may have planned on being married at a certain age, have kids, a house, and so on. And when they reach that age, I think it can sometimes be a shock that they haven't reached any of these things. I think a lot of people question where their lives are going and if they are going to get where they want. Some times its ahrd for people top adjust to the idea they may be a little older when these things happen or don't happen at all.

It's not so much a crisis as it is "a defining moment" in life. People in their 20's are at a crossroads.... lots of options (g/f/b/f, jobs, careers, traveling, exploring tastes, trying to find a "suit or dress" that you will like to wear for the rest of your life.) There are always people who overdramatize... yet being in your twenties with lots of choices before you is certainly stressful. The key to it is to not overdramatize, but selectively figure out what you're looking for in your life. Whether it's marriage, kids, a spouse, a townhouse in the big city, an apartment in the suburbs, or a small town lifestyle... relax and take the time and invest the energy to puzzle it out now, so that when you are in your 30's and beyond you won't have to.
best of luck!

Understand the success factors like the personal and psychological circumstances that will influence your marriage, what are the tools and approaches available to you in dealing with conflict, and numerous other relevant data. The thing is, remember, this is information is not available for you to begin hyper-psychoanalyzing your relationship, yourself and your partner. Yes, this is defined as the entire 20's time period. Who am I ? What am I supposed to do with my life? Why am I not married? Entire sitcomes have been based on it.."Friends".

Yes, everyone is lost at this age.

Then you hit 40 and it all starts again in past tense. Why did I decide to do this? Why did I take on this horrible career? Why did I marry this person?

Then you hit 70 and your whole body goes downhill, so you spend your time fixing everything, and you forget how badly you screwed everything up.

Such is the cycle of life. (No, seriously, life is a gift, so use it wisely.)

I've heard it called a "Quarter-life Crisis." There are a few books and articles on the subject.
When I got out of college and moved to city where I didn't know anyone, I feel like I went through something like that.

I think it's that whole Generation X thing. We're drunk on freedom but still hanging onto that ol' Life Script (get a job, get a house, get married, have kids). So we umm and aah about what to do with our freedom, floundering in a sea of possibilities but missing all the boats. It's a curse, I tells ya.

im mid 20s and i dont think that at all. The times have changed where we are staying home with parents longer before mving out, youngsters are taking more time out to travel than to settle down. And also look how hard it is to get on the property ladder.

both me and my partner agree that we would be renting or at home with mum and dad if we werent living together now.

i guess its just different times - people dont want marriage and kids so early anymore.

Actually, there is one that usually occurs around age 28.
In astrology it is called the "Saturn Return" in one's chart.
Happens again in the late 50s and in the late 80s.
What it amounts to is if you get to this life stage and you are not where you need to be in a given area... spiritually, intellectually, socially, career-wise, or whatever... you will experience severe upheaval. The equivalent of being picked up and dropped in the middle of a very swamp... and having to spend the next few years fighting yourself out of that swamp. Most people find themselves on more of a spiritual path once they are out of this thing... usually in the early 30s.

Yes I'm 25 and I think about it all the time. I'm having my mid 20's life crises as we speak.... I don't want to casually date anymore and I won't sleep with anyone if he are not in a relationship. I worry about being 30 and not married. and I worry about having kids with or being married to a loser so yes.... I also worry abou my financial situation. My looks and my weight so I don't want to get old and fat so I work out everyday.
