Do Ford Escorts manufactured between 97-02 have an ON/OFF switch for the passenger side airbags?

Not sure about Escorts but my 99 Ranger does. On the lower part, in the center of the dash, (above the ashtray) is a light that comes on telling if the bag is on or off. This is also where you operate it.

I've only seen an airbag disable switch in pickup trucks, where there is no other option for a child to ride but in the front passenger seat.
