I watched it again, I knew Sr, and watched him race. Its a great show for people who have never seen Nascar or even know anything about Nascar... After he was killed it took a major chunk out of me as I was in Daytona at that race, it took me till Jr won in Daytona to really come out of a major Nascar Depression.. My dad and I spoke to Sr the day before the 500, I still have the program he signed... Dale Sr you were one of a kind....R.I.P you were the greatest, long live the memories...

No, he'd be the same guy. Besides, didn't you read the summer 2001 Payboy article? Just call him Junior! I don't think of him as Dale because he's not his dad he's his own man and a very talented driver who could still get something out of the crap they gave him at DEI the last 2 years even if not a win. All the haters just have nothing better to do and may be disappointed he actually knows the cars and is a talented driver in his own right. His only downfall may sometimes be Tony Jr but that was not proven back when he switched crew chiefs with waltrip a few years ago.

This really was a great show. I've always liked Sr., even though I thought he was a dirty driver. BUT he was very good at it. I like clean drivers and dirty drivers. Makes the race exciting!!! The only thing I didn't like about the show was that they kept comparing NASCAR fans to country music fans. UGH!!!I don't fault others for liking it, it's just not my thing.
NASCAR is a great sport and I just hate to be stereotyped as a hillbilly for loving the sport!!!!

Wonderful show about a wonderful man! I do agree with you about the old days,I think the teams and drivers were more competitive back then. The drivers were really exciting like Dale Sr. was.Remember Petty and Person always running neck to neck,Allison and Yarbough fighting in the grass? Those were the days!

It was great. The movie will be out on DVD the first quarter of 2008 if you miss it on CMT. It's on again tonight and again Thursday night. Very touching movie.
For me the jury is still out on Theresa. There was less emotion from her than from Kerry, Kelly, Dale Jr, and Taylor. I felt the worst for Dale Jr, in fact my heart ached for him many times in that movie when you could see him in the background.
I was very touched by the piece by Brian Williams and his son. It was also very touching with the little girl and the penny she gave him for good luck. It's no wonder the man had such a huge following. He was very people oriented and seemed very caring.
Some of the footage of Junior after the wreck just tore my heart out.

That show was awesome. I have anticipated it for so long, it's unreal!!! I'm just glad I finally got to see it, and my favorite part had to be when Dale Jr was in victory lane interviewing his Dad and asked him for some money @ the end of the interview. That was great. I'm not even a Earnhardt fan, but even that show last night touched me. It truly was awesome.

The show was great. I think you mean the trolls that put down the sport, not those of us that hate what nascar the organization is forcing upon the drivers. When Sr was alive they did not dictate like they do now. I love the drivers and the sport, I hate the people that have systematically tried to change its greatness (the France family)

Whoever it is that puts that Nascar show on TV every week about the drivers (mainly Montoya and Sauter) should watch this movie to see what Nascar is really all about.
I found this show to be informative, touching, hilarious in parts, and thought provoking.
Wow, great biography and statement of the times about the man.

It was good. I didn't know much of what they portrayed abour Sr. Theresa Earnhardt is not anything like she's being portrayed in the media. She had to put up with Dale's crap and she's a business woman running a multi-million dollar business. I didn't even know they had a daughter !

Yeah, a lot of fans don't understand what these guys are like off the track. And most of them are like Dale, just normal people.
