If it is possible, find some honey that is "made" naturally in your area. I moved to the Hill Country in Texas and it has helped me. It has something to do with the pollins that they use.

When it comes to long term cures for your health there are no quick cures. Disease and allergies surface in the body sometimes after years of chemical exposure, doing the wrong thing or eating the wrong foods - there are many possibilities. The most effective cure for allergies that i have heard of and it is a cure (not a bandage which is what you will get by taking a pharmaceutical product) is a product called pycnogenol. It is a very powerful antioxidant and has a remarkable effect on people with allergies.

No. Nor are there any sure cures, though once in a rare while a person can outgrow an allergy.

The best you can do is control the allergy, and the symptoms. And meanwhile, try to avoid the allergen.

Avoiding the cause of the allergy is the best cure, but there are some things to try
Allergies symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, fatigue, depression, hives, itching, fluid retention, digestive problems, inflammation of mucous membranes, weight gain and other discomforts can manifest because of a weakened immune system, and there is also an endless list of foods and environmental factors that can trigger allergies.

A healthy body can neutralize any toxin that comes into the body. Although allergy symptoms are numerous, the causes of allergies appear to be multiple and many of the body systems are affected. The digestive process is tied to allergies; toxicity in the environment, stress, abuse of chemicals and refined foods and even temperature extremes can influence people's allergic responses. The causes of allergies are indeed a complex issue.

Researchers believe that weak adrenal glands prevent the immune system from processing allergens. The adrenals must be able to render foreign proteins harmless, the liver must detoxify efficiently, the digestive system must work well and the mucus membranes should be healthy enough not to allow foreign proteins to enter in the first place. This in turn disables our body systems in functioning properly and digesting starch and proteins and in the dysfunction of the adrenals, liver and mucous membranes. It was also found that people with food allergies were also deficient in hydrochloric acid and/or pancreatic enzymes.

The traditional Chinese medicine viewpoint suggests that allergies reflect internal imbalances, mainly of the wood (liver) and metal (lungs and colon) elements. Rebalancing these organs within the entire energy system will help improve allergic symptoms.

Although we can try to compensate by eating healthy foods, most of us lack the proper amounts of Vitamin A and Zinc which works together to help increase antibodies in the system. Vitamin C and Pantothenic Acid are vital in the production of adrenal hormones, which give the system an anti-allergic effect. A balanced mineral supplement that contains Potassium, Manganese and Calcium are also important to help eliminate allergies. MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) flushes out allergens from the body and provides relief from allergic asthma. Hydrochloric acid and Pancreatic enzymes are also helpful. Bee Pollen can help build immunity by acting as a barrier against inhaled pollens. Garlic is a natural way to help fight allergies such as colds and bronchial spasms. Raw honey has also been effective for all allergies.

There are herbal formulas that contain Boneset, Horseradish, Mullein and Fennel that helps the body battle seasonal airborne substances and soothes irritated tissues. Other herb such as Fenugreek, Marshmallow, Thyme and Elderberry helps to relieve inflammation and swelling.

In addition, homeopathic formulas for the relief of minor hay fever allergy symptoms, or mold, yeast and dust symptoms or common allergy symptoms are very effective.

Aromatherapy - the use of pure essential oils such as Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Niaouli, Lavender and Breathe Free (a blend of Peppermint, Geranium, Niaouli Bio and Rosemary) is a clearing and stimulating blend, can relieve nasal congestion. Simply dab on a handkerchief and inhale or use diffuser for the whole room.

There is an acupressure, self help approach that you can use as soon as begin an allergic reaction - apply pressure on the center of webbing of your hand, between thumb and index finger (toward the bone) for at least 2 minutes.

There is an effective do-it-yourself test that will help you identify food sources of allergies - "The Pulse Test" was developed by immunologist Dr Arthur Coca who states in his book the necessary steps to provide proof that certain foods are actually the cause of allergies. The steps are easy: Determine your average pulse rate for one minute. Check your pulse rate again, 30 minutes after eating and digesting a suspected allergic food. If your pulse rises 20 plus beats higher than your average, you are probably allergic to the food. By simply avoiding that food you could relieve many of the symptoms associated with food allergies.

Cure, no... relief, yes.

The quickest, temporary is to either have an adrenaline rush or to take some natural honey from the area you live.

Best bet is to go to the drug store and get some pills.

If the allergy is affecting your sinuses, a Neti Pot might help - it enables you to pour salinated water through your nasal cavities and flush out the irritant (animal dander, pollen, etc.). It really helps.
