I'd probably find it repulsive because if I "made it clear that it's all over" then they apparently did something pretty crummy for the relationship to have ended that way.

I wouldn't find their begging flattering at all.

I guess that depends on what circumstances you broke up with that person under. For some, it probably feels good because they want to know that person still wants them...especially if the ex broke up with you. But, it can also be kind of sad. I just sorta went through this with an ex. She didn't exactly BEG me to come back but made it very clear that she realizes now she made a huge mistake over 2 years ago. Unfortunately, it's just 2 years too late. So, in that situation, I felt pretty sad about it and a bit angry. I mean, if she had realize what she really wanted 2+ years ago we'd be married right now and happy but now it's just too late and too much crap has happened.

like i want to run far far away from them when ppl beg it makes me not want to do w/e they want i would tell that person that they aren't helping their case by begging
its better to leave some one alone for a while after a break up and then maybe ask to go out for lunch or something along those lines b4 starting over a friendship first is always better

Be considerate because rejection is tough

Tell them what a great person they are and reiterate that you have moved on and there is absolutely no chance of getting back together

Say you are truly flattered but you weren't meant to be and that the right person may just be round the corner for him/her

Be sweet. Wish them well and say goodbye.

I think you need to stay firm in your convictions, unless the circumstances that led to the breakup have changed. For example, if somebody's drinking became a problem and that person now swears off alcohol, I might consider going back. But only in a circumstance like that. Otherwise, best to stay away.

When it happened to me it did make me feel a bit flattered....and creeped out that I was going to be visited in the early morning hours by her. Luckily, after 5 months of ignoring her, she finally gave up.

If you cared at all you would probably would feel a little guilty, But if you been up front and honest then you may have to be firm with them.

I feel happy that someone loves me. But if i dont really feel the same thing about her, I would probably just tell her about it.

I had a guy do that to me once, and it annoyed me. I knew in my head that we would never be good for each other, and i can be stubborn when someone doesn't respect my decisions. It annoyed me alot, and no i didn't fall for that trick!
