unfortunately the guy that answered first is correct - and he gave me a horrifying answer recently. Also rkirby has got it right. Mormons aren't really Christian. Secondly, Mormons believe in more than one God. I point this out because u used the singular "God".
If u r interested, another person wrote a question which i replied to. The question was something like "what do u think of the Mormon religion?" u should look up my answer, do ur research and u will see LDS beliefs r pretty scary.
If u want to learn about God before jumping into "any old religion" and do some research in Catholic apologetics and decipher what the true religion is. In any case I wouldn't trust the LDS. I've done some thorough research on them and to say the least: I would never trust them.
hope this helps and if u have any other questions just email me.

The question replaced into something like "what do u think of of of the Mormon faith?" u could desire to look up my answer, do ur study and u will see LDS ideals r fairly frightening. If u come to a decision for to earnings approximately God previously leaping into "any previous faith" and do a dash study in Catholic apologetics and decipher what the authentic faith is. regardless of each and everything i does now no longer have faith the LDS. i've got have been given finished some thorough study on them and to assert the least: i could by no capacity have faith them. want this allows and if u have distinctive questions purely e mail me.

I've studied the mormon religion inside and out. The beliefs are not scary. In fact, they make a lot of sense. And if you ask me, the Mormons are christian because they believe in Jesus Christ as the Savior. Not sure where the other guy got his information.

I guess.
Anyways, how about a The Church of LSD? Can I combine acid with my love of God? That's a Bible study I'd go to!

The Church of Latter-Day Saints is a cult.
They believe Jesus was created by human parents, believe they can earn their way to become "gods", and have edited their Bible to accomodate these beliefs. They also believe in "progressive revelation", and constantly edit their tenets when they see the error of them.
While certain aspects agree with Christianity, many fundamental ones do not - and that is the danger.
Stay away from the Mormon Church... find a solid Bible-believing church that will support your life in God.
