With such poor spelling and grammer, I want to know how you got into uni in the first place?

Some instructors take attendance, most don't. Many that do have a policy of unannounced quizzes to enforce attendance.
In general, attendance polices are much more free than they are in lower education. It's not unheard of for someone to show up for the first day of class, skip all the lectures, and then show up for the final.
NOT recommended unless you are an absolute whiz at the subject matter!
As far as class participation, sometime in life you are going to have to address a group. It's best to learn this in school...lots of your classmates will be stumbling through their first presentation, too, so you shouldn't be too self-conscious about it.
