I have the fear of heights and yet I climb. I have the fear of water but I get in it or on it. You control your life, fears are to be controlled. You have the fear of eight legged hair monsters while I don't like snakes. If he scares me he is dead, now if he is over there and not poison he may live.

Its ruff, however it can be done. I can relate to the feelings and the circumstance. What I did was adjusted to the circumstances. I stayed away from my neighborhood by finding a quiet neighborhood away from were I live. Go to the library or find park away from you neighborhood, take little steps. I would do everything away from my neighborhood. As far as coming outside, that shouldn't be hard. There are times of the day when you can come out without you been seen by your neighbors. I'm sure the ruff necks, drug dealers, pimps and holes have a schedule were they have to sleep. The best time to come out is when they're asleep. Just do your home work and clock there timing.

Do you have a good friend to go with you when you go out? Can you afford a taxi, instead of walking through that area, when you have to go to the store, etc...it isn't healthy, to hermatize yourself because of what you think others are thinking about you, when in fact, they could probably care less...it''s too bad you don't have a good friend you could call on, for company, that always helps, when you feel like that...I no I had some reasons not to want to walk alone, not having a license to drive...I always appreciated the company and felt better...so yes, I have kind of been in that situation, but I never fear anyone, truly, because I put my faith in God and Jesus

Compassionate had a really good idea bout going out with a friend. You could also go with a relative.

I hate going anywhere on my own. I always like to have someone in the car with me, whether it be my husband, son, daughter, or close friend.

You could always plan it with a friend or family member too. Make a day of it and get all your shopping needs done at one time; or to even just spend a little time with them. We all need and desire the companionship of another human; family or friend.
