see heres the problem i really like this girl and i been told she likes me so i asked her out but she said she wants to be mates does this mean to give up with this girl

Unfortunately, when a girl says this, it means that she does not feel about you the way you feel about her. Do not ever expect to move beyond the friend realm. Women like the security of that male friend and they get comfortable with it. It is only when you are no longer romantically available that they will express interest overtly or covertly. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but somebody has to tell you.

If you really like her, being friends with her should be no great hardship. After she gets to know you better, she might change her mind about going out with you.

i think yeah it's over, don't pay attention to her for a while if she was interested and was only playing hard then she would give you signs to let you know she likes you too
