I've wanted to join the FBI for years now, but I'm a UK citizen, and have never been out of the country.
I have never been on the wrong side of the law or anything.
What would I need to do to join the FBI?

What do you want to do in the FBI?
Please don’t say you’ve seen characters playing FBI agents on TV and in films and now you want to be in the FBI!! It’s not a joke, it’s not fun and it’s not all power!
It’s bloody hard work and only the best and elite in intelligence and physique are invited to join as agents. FBI agents are to keep silent about their professions, you won’t be able to walk into a bar and flash your badge around! If you’re one of ‘those’ employees, you’ll be out of the board before you can even take a second look at your desk.
Additionally, agents are made to work like dogs for years and years before being let anywhere near interesting or important work. You’ll have to prove you can cut it and you’re not weak in any way.
Non-US citizens can be invited and are given honorary citizenship, but again, only the best of the elite stand a chance!

I'm a FBI agent and trust me it ain't that hard and I'm not a us sitizon I took down a man in public and I was involved in the crime of the Boston marathon

Can you indicate why you would want to join? unless you provide a reason why, this question makes that much sense. You need to be involved in the law enforcement like a cop with honors before you are even considered. If you have no experience....forget it even if you are a US citizen or not.

Why the FBI ? No good enough for a British Police Force? Is it because you fancy the idea of running around letting off a .45 or something? I think you need to have a long hard look at yourself

Basic requirement would be US citizenship. Then you'll need to have experience in law enforcement or have some sort of degree in some criminal-related field(criminology, criminal psychology etc.)
Of course, you could be rejected anyway. Prehaps you could just try to be a detective locally or maybe join the army.

You would have just as good a chance as any one with the same degree in the US. For your best shot get your Bachelors in the UK and then go to Law School in the US.

Sod that, join MI5. Much more highly regarded. To join the FBI you would have to become and American citizen.

In the FBI you have to have some sort of security clearance. And to have that you have to be a US citizen.
