I really would love it,if I got honest answers,,Thank you very much for responding..
My question is,
Mostly for non-christains who have gave their heart to Jesus at one point in time and now have turned away..
When giving your heart to Jesus did you ever really give your whole self to Jesus and have a relationship with Him as like a Best friend..Spending time speaking to Him..?
Thank you for responses..

Do you think by not having a relationship with Jesus, just maybe you didn't give your all to God..Just a thought,I know I have been saved before but I didn't give my heart to Jesus, this last time I did and boy did it open up new things..

I have given my heart and my everything to the Lord Jesus. I may not be the best Christian, I may not know it all. I do try my best to treat Him as my Best Friend..if I were to have a best friend. At least, praise God, Jesus does speak to me--unlike some of my human friends.

I became an Ordained minister(I have the papers to prove it) I went to Church 3+ times a week, I prayed everyday. Only until I decided to pursue becoming a biblical scholar did i realize how unbelievable Christianity was. Then once I decided to pursue Paleontology did I realize that I was lied to from the beginning. I realized that the god in the bible was a product of a certain culture, A certain time period. And the myths of Jesus were just the judeo-Christians way of trying to force the messianic prophesy to come true. I guess after that common sense took it's hold.
Now I question everything, search beyond what we are force fed at church

Typically people don't give their 'whole self' to their best friends. They MIGHT give their whole self to God, their savior, and best friend happens to be something you become over time, but savior is first. Best friend is after you get to know Him, IF a person ever does.

that's the only way to go. Jesus said to *enter* through the narrow gate- He didn't say to open it just enough to put your foot in. i'm coming from the other end though- i was agnostic until about a year ago. i don't know what backsliding is like.

There was a time when I truly believed. I came to understand that it was a form of self delusion...kind of like a placebo effect. Have not been a believer in over 8 yrs.

I was brought up as a catholic, but never really believed in any of it.
So, no, I have never had a 'relationship' with Jesus.
