I understand the whole power strugle in the past with religions wanting to rule over everyone when people were really stupid and didnt know science that well. so how come now that people are some what less stupid, there are people out there still trying to force religion onto other cultures as a whole or goingfrom person to person (house to house) why cant you all just back off and let people decide on there own if they want to believe in your religion and your version of god or nothing at all?
if my grammer and spelling suck its becuse i dont give a damn and i was writing while i was thinking

here to serve - im not talking about what is posted on here, forcing anything over the net is like trying to fight someone on the net, its pointless and no one takes it seriously, im saying real world.
as to the other dude who was saying "who is forcing?" and going all crazy, maybe forcing was a wrong word to use, im just saying, keep your religions in 2 places, in "your house" and "your church or whatever it is called" and if people wanna get into it, let them come to you

I don't what any of this "forcing" business is about. I'm not a Jehovah's witness, but they've come around enough that I know perfectly well there is no "forcing" going on. They say their bit, give you a watchtower, and if you tell them to go away, they go away.
Nobody jumps up and down when its some guy selling natural gas or vacuum cleaners; so how does it become an alleged "forcing" just because it is a Mormon and not a knife salesman? Are they baptizing you at gunpoint?
Please.

I don't know why. I think it is an interesting question, though. The sacred texts of various religions encourage, and even demand, proselytizing. However, I think this is inadequate to explain why it is so prevalent. I don't think people knock on doors and hand out pamphlets ONLY because a book instructs them to do so. "Us" vs. "them" is a well-known psychological phenomenon and could just be because we have traditionally lived in tribes. The cynic in me says that it is a bad thing. It creates a very hostile and unpleasant environment. Who knows if there's a cure?

Certainly the idea of having someone come door to door and house to house in a ministry can be disconcerting to many. But this type of ministry is rooted in scripture; indeed, Jesus himself carried out a door to door ministry, setting an example for his followers and then commanding them to do the same, teaching them how to do it. Consider this, please, at Luke 8:1; Luke 9:1-6; and Luke 10:1-12. Even Luke 10:1 reports that he sent them out two by two.
Did this work continue after his death? Absolutely. Notice Acts 5:42 which reports that every day from house to house, the disciples and apostles preached the good news of God's kingdom. They took the work that their master assigned to them quite seriously. Even Paul mentions at Acts 20:20 that he did not hold back but carried out his ministry door to door as well.
The preaching of the good news is so important that Jesus plainly linked it to the end of this system, explaining that it would be carried out until then. See Matthew 24:14. According to this verse, the work is carried out not only to share the good news of what God's kingdom will do, but also to serve as a witness before the end.
So, if you have Jehovah's Witnesses in mind, they carry out this ministry – not to ram religion down the throat of the householder, but to obey the command and example of Jesus Christ and the first century disciples in preaching and teaching the good news of God's kingdom. Matthew 28:19-20. I hope this helps you a bit.

No, of direction you're no longer the only one ill of others attempting to tension faith on others. i'm happy to respond to questions approximately how I view specific issues, yet i ought to in no way tension my perspectives onto somebody else unsolicited. "specific surprisingly while the Atheists do it." <---- a hundred% agree.

Maybe we were just writing what we were thinking, and don't give a damn what other people think. Just like you.
