But every time we talk, he hurts my feelings ...He's never been like this, can insecurity make a man mean?

OO YEA!!!!! But so can percieving your love interest as your enemy, which is what insecurities do, but I digress. Really see the problem with..... redoing, or picking up from a relationship is that relaitonships DON'T END!!! They just don't so you never.... start from the beganing, you never... start with a clean slate.... see you most address the issues that destroied it in the frist place (honestly!!! you know when something wasn't honest when the behavior is transgressive like this) short of that, and you get this type of behavior.... so its time to talk more, frankly, about the break-up.... or if it wasn't you, its time to get him to be more honest,... but this is why relationship don't have a tendency of working to well after that frist breck up.... neither party grow from the experience....
