All of my three are now at full time so i bought myself a bike so i can get out more. I knew the first day was going to be so tough as my youngest was starting full time from nursery so i got on my bike and went visiting, That's something i haven't done on my own for a long time and when i got home it was time for me to pick up the kids, I then had the housework and tea to cook and by the time that was all done my husband was home from work so i didn't have a lonely day but a full busy day and it was great to get out and do what i wanted without having to worry. Embrace the time don't just sit there getting upset and worrying about your kids, This is the time to do whatever you want. They will be having a great time so why shouldn't you.
Mine started back yesterday.

Take up a hobby, something that requires thought and skill, exercise, read a good book, invite a friend around for coffee, join a group. I guess the bottom line is - fill in your time and give yourself some time to do something you enjoy and time will pass quickly.

make the most of your free time woman!!!! Go do a bit of shopping or wash your hair, even a bit of housework. Try to remember the things you werent able to do when the kids were off school and you hadnt the time cos you were running around after them. Enjoy the freedom of a few hours all to yourself.

You need to develop a life beyond your children. You have become so consumed by your children's lives, that you have lost your own identity. Take up a hobby, or join a club to occupy your time. Some noncredit college classes would occupy you too!

bet your house is going to be as spotless as mine is tomorrow, this feeling is natural all mums feel like this when kids go back to school, especially if it is their first time in full time education, give it time and you will see what a joy it is to have time to do the things you want, you will appreciate your kids more when they are home and just think of all the exciting things they are going to have to tell you when they come home,

I take it as learning to let them go and preparing for when the time comes that they will go their way.
So why don't you try something for you now that you have a little more time,a hobby or anything that makes you happy.
take care

Lay back, kick your shoes off, close your eyes. Now you have time for yourself. Good.
