your maid of honour does not need to sign anything! You your hubby and jp or priest will do the signing she is just a witness if there is a dispute about the marriage!! But 18 is in most states the age to sign a legal document without parents/guardians signature!!

That would be an issue if they were signing a marriage certificate as a witness. That's not always the case, but if you want that to happen, odds are they would need to be 18.

18 to sign, but you are not required to have your maid of honor sign the certificate. Anyone attending the ceremony can sign as a witness to the marriage.
SO, your maid of honor could be under 18 and you can have someone else sign the papers for you.

I have been a MOH twice, and never had to sign the marriage certificate. The bride and groom can have any witness they choose sign it.
You have to be 18 to sign any sort of legal document, however.

You can have your maid of honour be someone underage if you want to and just have someone else available to sign the marriage certificate and license who is of age

You need to be 18 in order to sign any legal document. If your MOH is too young, have a sibling or one of the bride's maids sign in her place. (I'm not in the wedding party for my brother, but I'll be signing instead of one of the bride's maids.)

If you're using them as a witness for your marriage certificate, they'll need to be the age of majority for your jurisdiction.
This is not usually an issue.
