I have a real bad issue with itchiness with Percocet, so I am finding it really isnt a good med for me to take for pain. I am getting my wisdom teeth out in a few days and I was wondering if anyone else had this itchiness problem and found a med that didnt make them itch and could tell me? I have a lazy doctor, LOL, he asked me "what pain meds will work for you?" so I need to know what ones will. Vicodin made me puke BTW, so thats out.

The one further down from Vicodin and Percocet is Tylenol 3 and Tylenol 4 (both have codeine in them).

And there's another one (but don't know if it can be used for dental work, would recommend checking with your pharmacist to see what they say) called Anaprox that is one step below actual narcotics but one step higher than an anti-inflammatory like Tylenol.

I would recommend checking with your primary care physician as well to see what they say.

Sounds like you are alergic to opiates, its not that uncommon!
If you are having your teeth worked on we can't have you pukin! eeewwww. lol
You might be best off to mention Tylenol 3. It has codiene, and usually people who are allergic to opiates are not allergic to codiene.
Good Luck @ the Dentist!!

P.S. Sokokl had a great answer and I accidentally gave a thumbs down, I ment UP :+), sorry!

Ask your Doc about taking a dose of Benadryl with the percocet, It will help to counteract the itching.
