Well of course the guy would have to dress nicely, and present himself appropriately, but what if he is no Brad Pitt or Will Smith, would you still give him the time of day?

Yes, although looks certainly help at attracting a partner, in the end it is your personality that will keep them. Girls tend to be very insecure about themselves and are very much attracted to confident men. Why? Because it makes us feel better about ourselves. And if a confident man compliments us, we are more likely to believe them. Girls that don't find you approachable are not worth being approached by, so be glad if they don't come your way. I will choose my boyfriend over Brad Pitt any day, and believe me - I am not just saying that. Yes, there are some pretty boys that are nice to look at, but realistically who wants to date a guy that spends more time in front of the mirror than we do? We women are supposed to be the pretty ones! Of course, it never hurts to take care of yourself, but remember. A real relationship is based on your significant other loving you for who you are, not who or what you look like.

I think that every woman has her "type" ...or prototype, which is not always a good thing - especially for the guys. Most women are not willing to compromise when searching for their man. However, that is not always the case, so if you have something special to offer, that say, a Brat Pitt type wouldn't have, then that's great! So as long as you have a balance in your negative and positive aspects, then you stand a great chance of finding the right gal. But don't worry so much - there's someone out there for everyone!

I don't want to be too shallow, but it really depends. Sure I understand that not every one is a Brad Pitt but I'm no Angelina Jolie. An average looking guy is fine with me. I give extra points for guys that are gentlemen like, funny, and easy going.

No need for him to be Brad Pitt or Will Smith if the girl is not foolish.

Everyone has a look in their mind that they find attractive.

Think about it, if you didn't find a girl attractive, and you saw her accross the bar, would you go for her, or someone else you found attractive.

If you believe your sexy, then others will believe it and will be more attracted to you.

I know from experiance that this isn't easy to do. I don't think I'm very pretty myself. And it takes along time to get out of that rut, 'specially when you've been thinking your not sexy your whole life.

Take time, the women for you is out there, and she wants you bad *wink wink knudge knudge ya know what I mean ya know what I mean*

Sure. I have dated some genuinely unattractive guys, and enjoyed it. Hell, even the sex was good. Maybe because they wanted to make up for the fact that they were no Adonis under their clothes.

There is nothing quite like intelligent, friendly company. Whether is comes in a pretty package or not.

I don't really go for the "Pretty boy" type myself. I prefer the nice approachable guy. Some girls are superficial, but there are a lot of us that just like the confident nice guy type.

Sure I would!! Looks aren't eveything!! You can have Brad Pitt that treats you like crap or the ugly duckling who treats you like gold!! It's the inside of a person who makes them who they are, not their looks!! I hope I helped you!!:)

He would have to have a certain level of attractiveness I suppose. Looks are always the first thing someone notices about another person. If you aren't being noticed with your looks then you better be the one doing the approaching so they will notice you somehow.

Looks still matter. They matter less with a confident guy, but everyone has a minimum standard. If you are just plain ugly to a certain girl, that is it with you and her. Same goes for guys. God bless.
